proclaiming that you find rimming gross - well, its unnecessary and kinda rude, but whatever.

proclaiming that rimming is disgusting, and that youre right and other people are wrong, because science says so! ugh. that kind of attitude reads to me like i imagine excrements must taste.

youd think especially gay people have learned the 'live and let live' rule.
i personally find scat or bestiality disgusting, and i think barebacking is monumentally stupid, given the risks. but you wont find me making stand-offish threads or posts about how gross/stupid it is... because i have manners, and what other people are into is none of my buisness.

Because I sincerely WANT to "fuck you" if I propose it, but when I'm confronted with the reality of it, anxieties arise. Meaning, I'll be rock hard UNTIL I try to "stick it in" then my mind won't stop thinking, "Ugh! Poop might be in there!"

Quoted for truth, you said everything I wanted to. IMO Rimming is Vanilla, and if you are with any guy that knows anything about hygiene, there's nothing gross about it at all. The hole should be, and can be every bit as clean as the dick.

This is really funny. I mentioned what I was into, which is vanilla. Then the discussion turned to rimming, which is not vanilla by most of the vanilla people's standards I know. It is kind of an eccentric practice that I wish I'd see less of in porn because I find it unerotic. I didn't even mention disgust until people were assuming I was against it because of my own disgust. My point was, yeah I'm disgusted but that's not why I recommend other people don't do it.

I recommend they don't do it because whether they're disgusted or not, it isn't a healthy thing to do. And if a doctor came along and said "Actually, you're mistaken. The risks are really no different than kissing someone or sharing from the same plate of cookies at work" then I would change my position entirely. But so far, any medical information I've ever heard is that no matter how much someone washes their arsehole, it isn't something you should put your tongue on.

The only exception to that is in "harm reduction" programs, where they take the approach that people are making fucked up risky choices anyway, and that helping them to live slightly less risky lives is better than completely risky lives. Which gets me to a serious problem I have with the "harm reduction" model of public health care, and that is the potential to normalize unhealthy behaviour while only delaying slightly the negative consequences for people making poor health choices. But that is another discussion entirely.

I don't understand what the bolded part proves. So, your friends don't believe that rimming is vanilla, apparently a fair amount of other people do. You can believe it's not vanilla and others will believe that it is, end of story.

As to whether or not it's a healthy thing to do, I really don't know, but I've done it before and while it's not one of my favorite activities, I've never heard of anyone getting seriously ill over it. You make it sound like it's one of the most dangerous things ever, which is doubtful.

I'm open to any links you may have on the matter.

and thats the attitude that also underlines the more 'informative' parts of your posts. youre not interested in informing people, or protecting them from harm. youre interested in proclaiming how gross you find this practice, and how your prefernce is superior because its somehow 'supported by science'. at least thats the way you come across. as ive said, its your attitude that i have a problem with, not the medical facts, or the fact that youre put off by rimming, or the vanilla/non-vanilla distinction.

MR, I wasn't delaying 7 months to answer my own question. I'm posting here today because I noticed that the second of JUB's four or so favourite posters prefers some discretion in displaying themselves.
 
I don't get why fucking is so mainstream. It's rather uncomfortable, it's messy, it takes a bunch of preparation, and it doesn't feel as good as oral. What's the point, other than every once and a while for kicks?
