He did have some interesting threads and sometimes presented a different view that I needed to hear, however, he also misinterpreted comments from about half of the people and ranted and demeaned them. I started avoiding commenting in some threads to keep out of his way.

Yes, if you agreed with him 90% you were a white supremacist, the ring leader of a lynch mob, and the grandson of a slave driver. I'm the grandson of an Arab, the husband of a Turk, and a resident of Morocco, but to him I was somehow a Klansman from Mississippi.

What's more telling about the ban is the absence of Fab's threads on Page 1 of Hot Topics. Only one is there presently. Without the incessant bumping and self=promotion, his agenda doesn't dominate the interests of the regular posting members on JUB.

It's not that race isn't a Hot Topic, but it's not to the degree he mass marketed it.

He got banned the same way me and everyone else got banned because he did something which didn't follow the rules.

He wouldn't have got banned for nothing. It's probably a temp ban.

I think these threads are a good indication as to why Mods need to be more transparent with bans when it comes to regular members. Threads like this shouldn’t exist because all it ends of being is people dumping their dirty laundry about a user.

I think these threads are a good indication as to why Mods need to be more transparent with bans when it comes to regular members. Threads like this shouldn’t exist because all it ends of being is people dumping their dirty laundry about a user.

Bannings do not come as a surprise to anyone. They're predictable. Everyone knew when Taralen, Benvolio, or Mikey got banned that is was only a matter of time. We knew the same thing about Fab. These people knew they were treading on thin ice and most likely didn't care. The only person responsible for a ban is the person getting banned.
