Anyone's life would be easier if they were straight. It's delusional to think otherwise. It's always an adventage to be more socially "accepted" when it comes to looks, sexual orientation, race and just about anything.

However, it's not really an excuse. If your life sucks, it's not because you're gay, it's because you can't get past that little fact. Plenty of gay people are happy with their lives.

No, I don't think so. I would have had just a whole bunch of other problems to deal with. I except my lot in life an deal with it. I haven't had alot of problems with being gay....and I don't have to worry about being pregnant or getting someone pregnant...no children for me thanks.

I am not straight, I am white, not protestant. Educated, able bodied, physically fit and attractive. My point is , that whatever part of society you fit into, there will always be some problem in your life. Whether it be socially, financially, race, religion....etc.

I am not straight, I am white, not protestant. Educated, able bodied, physically fit and attractive. My point is , that whatever part of society you fit into, there will always be some problem in your life. Whether it be socially, financially, race, religion....etc.

Of course. The grass is always greener on the other side and there's almost always some sort of obstacle to overcome once you visit the greener field. Even those who appear to have been born w/ the perfect lives (silver spoon in their mouths) have something to fuss about. Maybe they're depressed. Maybe they're unfulfilled. There's always something. Having said that, I certainly enjoy my position in the majority and I wouldn't trade it in.

No, straight people aren't immune to injury, heartbreak, mental disorders, and relationship issues. I'd say I'm much better off as a healthy gay person than I would be as a hetero with cancer.

Maybe... at least my sexual life would be better . But I don't care too much about things that are impossible to change, and since I accepted it, i'm very happy with my life. My difficulties are not related to my sexuality.

Not only that; I know women have a lot of difficulties in a male driven society, but so does those str8 males, people expect so much from them. Expect them to be physically strong so they're be able to defend themselves and others, to not show feelings, to be the ones who pay when they date; they are the ones who are expected to put the most effort to find the right woman, while women just say "yes" or "no" and make of them for their -sometimes- silly antics of seduction.

But again, I wouldn't want to be an air-headed idiot. I value all those things that I've learnt as a gay person.

Chances are that my life would be SOMEWHAT better, but I don't think it would be spectacularly better. It's hard to tell, because if I had turned out str8 the chances are that other things I did in my life would have taken "the other forks in the road" and there's no way to know where I'd be. For example, would I be married? Would I be working a desk job, rather than my own job?

One thing I don't think would change - I still don't think I'd have children...
