wuh oh... Kavanaugh is a #metoo

They desperately wanted to get him seated NOW, so that they could ram an emergency hearing straight-to-the-top in time for the new SCOTUS cycle that starts Monday. They were eagerly awaiting their assured 5-4 majority which would vote YES to give the president unconditional power and unaccountability, and now that's not going to happen...at least not right away.

I actually come up with my own conspiracy theories. Thoughts???

**************
Those two men who came out and yelled ME, ME, ME!! to claim that it wasn't Kavanaugh, but THEM, who committed this brutality at the party???

There is no reason, other than "Hey, look, a kitty!" that these men would come forward. Distract, and throw some doubt into the mix. It appears that it is not being taken seriously.

Even if they would ultimately be convicted of committing a crime (of, let's say, perjury), it would already be too late. Trump's man would already have his seat for possibly decades.

These two men PROBABLY HAD AN AGREEMENT WITH TRUMP that, whatever happened to them in the courts, they would be pardoned, so it would be entirely OK for them to come forth and lie, and Agent Orange would have their back.

My own conspiracy theory, and I'm sticking with it.

Kavanaugh had his spouse and family there for support, and so did most of the senators on the committee. But where were Dr. Ford's family? Husband? Kids? Parents? I just found that odd. Apparently none of them even signed a letter of character.

Breaking news: The family of a woman receiving harassment and death threats didn't wanna show their faces on camera at a nationally televised hearing.

And let's not pretend like if they show up her detractors would change their minds. They'd still be skeptical and find some way to spin that family support as a negative or sign of guilt. "Why's the whole family there? What's she trying to prove? Look at her parading her family for sympathy how disgusting."

Doubting her is one thing, pretending to give her the benefit of the doubt while blatantly questioning every sneeze every cough and interpreting every micro-movement as diminishing to her case is... another thing.

Speaking of benefit of the doubt, did you count how many lies Kavanaugh told? No wonder he doesn't want an FBI investigation, he knows what happens when you lie to them.

I think sexual assault is the most fitting metaphor for this whole circus. A handful of stuffy old men are high-fiving each other as they cram something in that the rest of the country clearly Kavanaugh’s Yale Classmate Calls Out His ‘Blatant Lying’ at Hearing does Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings spark more protests not Yale Law students were in Washington, D.C., today calling on senators to oppose the nomination want.

And in the midst of the cloud of premature celebratory cigar smoke knowing that in the end they'll probably get their way, they don't even consider the damage they're doing to their reputation [with midterms a stone's throw away no less] and to America's global reputation. History will not look as favorably upon them as they look upon each other, smugly thinking they've won when a hundred years from now people will marvel and wonder how these men knowingly lifted a potential sexual predator into the highest court in the nation. The trophy will be a replica of the statue of liberty with Kavanaugh standing behind her with his hand over her mouth. It's disgusting, and nobody even expected anything different from the same party that fuck-near sent a child predator to the senate in Alabama but insisted Bill Clinton be impeached for receiving a consensual blowjob. It's hypocrisy, it's misogyny, it's the old boys system, it's a smack in the face of democracy and dignity and not one moment of it is surprising. These men do not collectively have enough scruples to fill a thimble. And all of this, for what, so you can get a favorable vote on abortion and turn back gay rights which you could've simply done just by selecting the next conservative vulture in line instead of boldly trying to fit this square into a circle? It's lunacy. It's maniacal. And as an American it's utterly embarrassing.

Dr. Ford's family?
Apparently none of them even signed a letter of character.

Oh, isn't that nice. Her husband and his family DID sign a letter. Kavanaugh and his family also suffer constant death threats but they showed up to show support. I just wonder why. Maybe her family is also afraid of flying, but only to the east, just like her.

1 - Kavanaugh had a reference letter from his frat brothers.
2 - We The People picked up the check for security of the fratboy and his family.
3 - Flying to a public inquisition is not a vacation.

And a completely personal observation. The tantrum of a spoiled brat will not outshine the composure of the victim. He'll be swell for the boys. I wonder where he learned to make it all about himself?

It's almost a science. You also asked "Why no letter?" and when someone posted the letter you steamrolled right over it towards the same narrative. I notice you carefully dodged my question about Kavanaugh's lying. Inconvenient truth? If Dr Ford told one lie you'd be ready to walk her to the plank. You try to poke hyperbolic holes into Dr Ford and ignore OBVIOUS signs of guilt on Kavanaugh's part. I'll give you kudos for consistency. Speaking of Kavanaugh.....

I got this one. His behavior was very common of abusive men. The emotional posturing, the self-victimizing, the angry lashing out, the threats, those are all things men do when confronted by the pain they inflict on others. Of course his moronic base will just interpret that as him being really passionate due to being innocent. Dr Ford remained composed because she knew if she behaved in the way he did she'd be "the hysterical woman" and who can trust the testimony of a hysterical woman? The whole thing was one big gross display of rich white male privilege.

Your sarcasm is duly noted. You made up a 'fact' and posted it as if you knew what you were talking about and you were proved wrong.

Russell Ford did file an affidavit with the Judiciary Committee attesting to his discussions with his wife about the alleged assault and that those discussions were before Kavanaugh's nomination to the Court.

Not that it matters, but there were Press reports that the Fords decided to keep their children in school in California and to not disrupt their lives any more than they had already been disrupted. Russell Ford remained in California with the children.

You asked why Kavanaugh's family was present. The Kavanaughs are from Bethesda, Maryland which is in the DC metro area. Brett Kavanaugh is a judge on the DC circuit court. His wife worked at the White House as George W Bush's secretary. He and his family live in the area.

This appears to be another derail attempt based upon stuff you've read on your news sites that you didn't bother to research before you posted it here.

These personal decisions of the Fords and the Kavanaughs are their decisions to make. Given what we heard this week in the hearings, neither family would want their children to hear the details of what was discussed.

So, what are the death threats to the Ford family, which were so horrific that they were forced to move?

Chopped liver?
