YAY Baseball!!!!!!!

According to LaRussa it's over, trouble is he says that to everyone but Rolen.
When you say Carlos I assume you mean Delgato and not Beltron.
Beltron is hitting better than .300 these days but Delgato who was .196 last night is another story, I dono what's up with him. But that's baseball slumps come and go and they all have em.
As for Willie, come on now, most will say he is one of the best managers in the game today. He is a great communicater and knows how to get the best out of his guys. Willie is always there with a pat on the back when they do well and a word of advice and encouragement when they don't.
LaRussa could learn something about people skills from Willie(*8*)
I was sorry to hear about Carpenter who will be out for 3 months, I hate to see guys out so early in the season. Of course the Hancock story is just tragic.
Oh by the way in case you miissed it, the Mets beat the D'Backs again last night.
Today they go for the sweep of the 4 games. Dodgers beat the Braves so we are still in first place. I'm just sayin:p

Nah, I was just giving you some shit sonny. I actually respect Willie a LOT. I just don't respect the Mets fans. I know I know not all of them are like this, but I saw a video from last seasons when the Cards beat the Mets at Shea and some fan goes "I hope your plane crashes!" LoL classy dude.

I knew the Mets would be good, if not much better, than last season. I would be scared if I was anyone in the NL.

We shall see though, that's what they said last year too :p

Yeah, ya gotta love us New Yorkers, but there are jerks in every town sayin crap to every team. I go to a lot of games both Mets and Yankees,
(my brother is a Yankee fan) and some of the fans yell some pretty bad things to both the Mets and the opposing teams. I just think guys like that should stay home and yell at their TV.
I knew you were kiddin about Willie, any true fan can see he is awesome. His management style is infectious, you can see it in all the coaches.
I have been to games and watched Rick Peterson, who is always keeping track of his guys with a chart he writes in all through out the game. Every pitch is analysed and commented on, then between innings he sits with his pitcher and goes through each pitch. It's a family affair and that's what Willie brings to the table and that's one of the reasons the guys work so hard to please him.
Mets have a four game series with the Cards starting June 25th.
I'll bring the broom:p

(actually, the way we are playing, I wouldn't doubt it.)

I've actually been watching the news here in Jersey and it's funny how pissed they got at Rivera last night.

Where's my baseball buddy sonny??

Your Mets can suck my balls. Along with my Cards, who are SUCKING ASS right now!! :p

God I love baseball....

Must be nice to be paid $5,000 a pitch like Clemens is getting...Whatever.

Cheers to baseball! ..|

Mmm I am no longer a seasoned baseball player, but that doesn't stop me from watching the games, although since I have come to terms with myself, I find that I am checking out the players more than I am actually paying attention to the game ;-)

For some reason, baseball players just turn me on! I was an RA for the last two years in the Freshmen male dorms. We ALWAYS got the Freshmen athletes. I had a baseball player on my floor that has made me just go gaga over *most* baseball players. Yum!

Playing aside, who do you think is the hottest?!?!

Here I am babe,

Sooooo my first place Mets (.667) suck huh?? well your birds (.390) have lost 5 straight,
Dude…. What’s up with that??
Pittsburgh comes to town on Tuesday, your guys need to kick their butts.

I was just talking to a buddy of mine about that kid who pitched yesterday for the Yankees.
The rookie did a hell of a job shutting down the mighty Mets offence.
He is just what the Yankees need right now. With the rest of the team basically unproductive, at least he can keep the opposing team from scoring runs even if he gets moderate offense from his the teammates.

They have so many older guys that need to start producing,

Damon can't throw anymore.
Gano has got to go, what is up with him anyway? His errors are embarrassing, straight out of little league.
Giambi has a bone spur that is affecting his game; hopefully his orthotic inserts will help.
Ph is all he can do now.

The only guys making contact with the ball seem to be Jetter, A-Rod, and Posada
The pitching is shaky, and I hate to say it, maybe they need a new manager.
I wonder if Mattingly can take over and turn the team around.

Tonight the Yanks go to Boston, heaven help them!
Oh, and if your boys get swept by Pittsburgh, give em up
the Mets will welcome you as a fan. :p

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Oh, and I know we suck. But you know what's consolation? I was alive when we won a World Series. One of the best moments of my life. :p

(*8*)

David Wright is still hot. God that man is fine.

Ohhhh low blow dude, low blow:badgrin:

David Wright is still hot. God that man is fine.

Yeah David is my favorite player, his bat is hot again too,
three homers in the last 3 games...|
I got an autograph from him last month, he is very fan friendly, always hangs out before and after games to meet fans and sign stuff.

I am loooking forward to beating (opps I meant playin) your birds.
We will try and not beat em too bad, I can't promise anything thou, cause it's just gonna be so easy.:p

the Tigers will finish 4th this year, by the way behind the Sox, Twins, and Tribe

We're halfway into the 2007 MLB season. So far you are wrong about the 2006 AL Champions Detroit Tigers. But let me ask: Doesn't the dramatic decline of the 2005 World Series champs Chicago White Sox -- a team I do like -- surprise the hell out of you?

It's not uncommon in the wonderful world of baseball.
How so many teams can play like champs one year and flounder the next.
The Braves are a good example of a great team that is struggling this year and of course the mighty Yankees are having a really tough year.
A lot may change after the All-Star break, it often does.

Lets start by having the National League win the all-star game this year, it would be the first time since 1996, that would be a nice change...|

Tell me about it ;)

thank you sonny! you're reading my mind!! ..|

and, btw, Jeanne Zelasko needs to go away and stop speaking...either order will do.

btw sonny, your husband David Wright, methinks, gets hotter and hotter as the days go on...

holy SHIT!!! Me likey!! :sex:

#-o damn they lost again, and soooo close](*,)
Suzuki nailed it for the AL and Ichiro's (all-star MVP) inside-the-park homer was awesome.

I made eye contact with him at Shea, he always comes out before, and sometimes after, every game to sign autographs, and greet fans.
I like him because of his total commitment to the game of baseball. David comes to the park up to 4 hours early to work out, and take batting practice.
Of course, the fact that he is also a babe doesn't hurt:D

Hey guys, I share season tickets with some people and actually got to go to this game. Ichiro was fantastic as was Jose Reyes of the NL. One bummer thing about seeing all those all-stars playing at PacBell Park made it very clear how shit the Giants have become in every element of the game. Very well played and fun game, fans from all over country decked out in their team's jerseys, great ninth innning. Probably the one and only all-star game I'll go to, but I definitely recommend spending the $$ to go see one.

Well said!
It was be a thrill for those guys, especially the younger ones like Reyes and Wright , to meet up with and play with those other players. So many idols to meet and share stories with.

I think much to much was made of the All-Star game's ending and a possible Tony La Russa-Albert Pujols falling out. Pujols has been in a slump lately, so perhaps the results, had Pujols been the final at-bat, would've been the same.

.............

what's funny about that is the media in STL blew it totally outta proportion...

Albert didn't give a shit (after the fact) and Tony said he regretted it (after the fact)

what Tony needs to realize is that the Cards are sucking ass right now!!! Fuck the All Star game for now - although I did enjoy all of it!!

and sonny sweets - your Mets??? Why did ESPN just waste 4.7 minutes of my life saying how they've been 2-6??

oh wait...it's a New York team :p

Halfway boys!! Hopes to a great second half!! ..|
