2011 JUB Meet - Portland, Oregon - August 5-7

I checked out Park Lane Suites as per our phone convo last night, and the place looks amazing. ..|

NoC from what you've shared about the discount that they're willing to give us, it's pretty comparable to what many of us paid during the San Antonio, and St. Louis JUB meets.

I especially like the idea that it's in your neighborhood, and that it's within walking distance of all of the public transportation that we'll need to get around.

Could you share some more with the rest of us about this possible location to host? :D

I looked at the website for the Farmers market...

The website is actually BETTER than the ACTUAL market... :confused:

BUT -- I'm sure we will can stop by there on the walking tour -- as its right THERE in the middle of Portland... :lol:

Its ok, there will be plenty of other times in the future. I will be planning to go up in July and stay just in time for the meet I hope it all depends on Tony's work schedule hope that it stays the same it is now.

If the St. Paul / Minneapolis area can handle you, I'm pretty sure that Portland, Oregon can hold it's own. ..|

This Texas boy has to make this meet because there are so many JUBbers who are already committed to attending that I want to meet that I haven't already, and so many more that I already have where I already know that I'm going to have a good time, that I can't miss this! :mrgreen:

Joining us at the Meet Up will be Thynight! (!) (!)

This is now promising to be one big, big weekend event!
 
For all who have decided to attend and for those on the fence...

After some long planning sessions and discussions with my co-host, swerve, we are in total agreement on one thing (many actually :-)) above all else.

If you can make it to the event for only a short time, if you can participate in only one item on the agenda; the single best choice would be the Friday evening rooftop dinner.

This kick-off event is going to be AWESOME! Great food, casual atmosphere, fun people, amazing views!
