Kurt Vile's Smoke Ring for My Halo will be released March 8, 2011.

His band The War on Drugs released their second LP Future Weather earlier this year. Both of their albums and all of Kurt Vile's are pretty great. This will be his fourth solo record in three years.

ok miaedu
i'm happy someone like you is actually on this forum to put some interesting ( and by interesting i mean in a PJ-way ... not in a britney-born this way )
really great information mostly !

Speaking of PJ , written on the forehead is thrilling I can't wait to hear more of Let England Shake

I agree, we need more people with taste who listen to more than radio crap.:help:

On January 18th:

Tennis — Cape Dory (Fat Possum)

It’s a perfect story: the couple that is Tennis started writing songs together during their seven-month sailing excursion. The lush, beautiful, semi-sleepy pop that resulted may make them the Beach House of 2011.

Right now I'm anxious and top priority is Britney's new album. I'm also pretty excited for No Doubts new album not quite sure if it's for sure going to be released in 2011 but I do sure hope so. I did not know Blondie was working on new stuff, now I'm looking forward to that as well. Right now I'm into the clash, ramones & sex pistols so there is not too much for next year. I just hope I don't fully fall back into the pop madness.

On January 18th:

The Decemberists — The King Is Dead (Capitol)

Keeping my fingers crossed because their last album, 2009′s The Hazards of Love, was a big disappointment.

January 25

Deerhoof — Deerhoof vs. Evil (Polyvinyl)

The Strokes new album 'set for March' release

Speaking to Radio 1's Zane Lowe bassist Nikolai Fraiture confirmed that the follow-up to 2006's First Impressions Of Earth is "in the mixing stage".

He added that he felt the album would return to the New York band's "classic sound".

"Sonically, I feel it's the album which should have been made between Room On Fire and First Impressions Of Earth."

The release of the lavish re-issues of George Michael's Faith have been pushed to early 2011, presumably in light of the singer's prison stint.

First look: George Michael's 'Faith' gets the deluxe reissue treatment

George Michael fans might want to hold off on spending that gift card, because the British pop star's classic 1987 album "Faith" is getting the deluxe reissue treatment in the form of a massive limited-edition box set to be released on Jan. 31.

The heavy-duty package consists of: a remastered CD of the 10-song album; CD of original remixes, instrumentals, 7-inch singles and B-sides; 180-gram replica vinyl; DVD with interviews and videos; memorabilia with art, tickets, replica tour pass; and full knowledge that you'll have nearly everything you need from the "diamond certified" (10 million copies or more sold in the U.S.) classic dance/pop/blue-eyed soul/R&B classic.

The mother of us all, Cher, is supposedly issuing a new album this year.

Right now I'm only anticipating Beyonce and Paramore (glad they're still releasing music this year despite loosing the Farro Bros), Britney Spears, I think Drake as a new album on the way, as well as Jamie Fox... not sure about the last.

I didn't know Amy Winehouse was releasing anything new, so that may be interesting. As well as George Michael's "Faith" getting a reissue. Can't wait for these!

Edit: Oh, nope. Jamie Foxx doesn't seem to have anything on the way. I guess the "Fall For Your Type" song was originally Drake's and was given to Jamie to cover, I'm assuming.

The Kills are very excited to announce that their 4th album 'Blood Pressures' will be released around the world on April 4th, and in the U.S.A. on April 5th on Domino Records
