His words at Buchenwald were fine, although what his going there achieves other than a photo op is a mystery. If he wants to shine a light on the horrors of genocide, why not keep his campaign promise and address the genocide of Armenians in Turkey.

Presidents go to concentration camps when they're in Europe -- it's almost obligatory.
Obama used this visit to emphasize words in his Cairo speech, basically shoving the truth of the Holocaust in the face of idiots who deny it. After quoting the Koran about speaking the truth, he's daring Muslims to live up to that and ditch those who do deny it.
It's not being there that's new, it's not affirming the Holocaust that's new, it's the context in which he's done it.

What is truly pathetic is the spectacle of the POTUS running around all over the world bad-mouthing the USA. What is even more pathetic is the fact that so many people of the left/liberal/looter persuasion think it is a good idea.

Obama hasn't been "bad-mouthing the USA" -- unless you believe that lying to make your country look good is moral. All he's done is tell the truth about history, in a matter-of-fact way -- you know, that thing that parents teach their kids (or at least should): when you've fucked up, admit you've fucked up.

By being honest, he does us proud.

ObamaCo used Buchenwald as a set, a backdrop, for the show they created. The same way Bush & Co used that aircraft carrier as a backdrop for the Mission Accomplished show.

I don't mind that Obama did it, and I said so. What I take issue with is the notion that this was an achievement we can all be proud of. It was a show. A good events organizer puts together events of this nature.

He said a few words at a concentration camp, which other Presidents have done before him. It was not a Presidential achievement that deserves the praises Obama received.

I have no idea what is refreshing. Every President and secretary of state in recent memory has called Iran and North Korea dangerous, gave great gestures towards our fallen and generally spoken up when America's interested are threatened abroad.

What is telling is the testing many regimes are now doing of Obama and the lack of substantial reaction. Anybody can SAY I don't like x or y. The proof in in his actions or rather inactions.

Can someone name a policy he has set forth that is successful currently?

- GM and Chrysler - illegal bankruptcy
- Overtures to the muslim world - vague
- Reaction to North Korea - non existent
- jobs creation initiative - going the other way
- many of his picks for office dirty from the word go vs. becoming corrupted by power like is the norm
- DADT - just hold on now....I want congress to do that

Please somebody tell me what good he has set into motion. I like young and creative but don't really dig OJT for the naive and inexperienced.

Why in the face of bankruptcy laws are the junior investors and the govt getting more of the dividends of the sale of assets? So much so that Ginsberg stayed the entire deal and then relinquished after a whole day? Seems like she had a question but then was pressured to drop it.

He told China that he stood for a “strong dollar,” but that China should let its currency appreciate relative to the dollar, which, of course, would mean a weaker dollar. He simultaneously told China that their investments in US Treasury bonds were safe.

His Chinese university audience, being economically literate, laughed at Geithner.

I trust you are capable of reading the current news IRT the Chrysler bankruptcy. To your arguments of why didnt the Supreme court hear the case if it was illegal....why do they choose not to hear many cases that tread on illegality?
