ABC's "V"

Re: ABC's V

I LOVED the first epi. I liked the fact that it was fast paced and it moved quickly. I loved Anna.... my new favorite villan :)
It suckss they will only show 4 epis and then return in March of 2010 :(

Re: ABC's V

I know, but hopefully it's just going to be a mini series so it won't hurt future seasons...

Re: ABC's V

I like the show so far but agree that it seemed to stuff an awful lot of story and info in the 1st episode...could have unfolded some of it a bit more slowly imo...like letting us know that the visitors have been here already could have been reveled an episode or 2 later. I'll give the writers the benefit of the doubt for now that they have a winning storyline in mind...basing this on ABC's previous winner "Lost."

^ I like the son...the horny little bastard is going to give his momma a hole lotta grief. ;)

Re: ABC's V

Two enthusiastic thumbs up. ABC's got a few winners this season. FlashForward is very enjoyable even though it is a serial but V really is the best show to come from ABC in a while. Creepy and very contemporary, without being too campy or too dark. Hopefully, it won't be cancelled after 6 episodes. I sure hope her son gets eaten by the visitors.

Re: ABC's V

I'm thinking the rumors that they are setting V up for cancellation are true. I think they are putting all their bets behind Flash Forward. V got the shittiest promotion and a hour pilot that was sloppily rushed through. Despite ABC clearly having little faith in it, most of my friends and I enjoyed it. And it got huge ratings. In fact, thebiggest of any new show this year. But Sadly I think the show is dead.
They are only showing the first 4 episodes, then showing the rest in fucking March! Who in the hell is gonna get back into a show after a six month hiatus?.

Re: ABC's V

I liked it, but the graffiti reversal was unfortunate.

Re: ABC's V

I really liked the show but I wished it was 2hours for the first episode. The son is a little prick

I haven't been watching. ABC put it against CBS's new season of NCIS and I am hooked on that.

I liked the pilot, but I am wondering where they are gonna go with this show now. Is it just gonna be like 4 or whatever seasons of humans fighting against V's?
That being said I'm still looking forward to the next episode.

Haven't been too impressed other than the FBI woman and the priest's characters. Did anyone notice the stud that V was interrogating this last show? Held down to a table stripped down to tight underwear. Sex appeal always sells.

I like the show a lot, I am enjoying the interesting angle of who is and who isn't, sorta like the body snatchers. Then there is, who is but defecting to make it even more interesting.
Good to see Scott Wolf and Joel Gretsch back on a show.

I am liking this show...however I think that it will be cancelled after they show the first season in March. The pilot started out with 14.3 million, and by the time the 3rd episode roll out it only had 9.32 million. That is a big drop.

Only one more episode in 2009. After next week who knows if it will be back.
As some of you have pointed out the ratings have been dropping like a rock.

Well at least we had some shirtless scenes of cutie Logan Huffman this week

If the networks would get smart they'd set a certain number of shows (so it could be wrapped up like a miniseries if it doesnt take off) and let people know that they arent wasting 4 nights of tv viewing by starting a new show not knowing if its going to be around. After Jericho, Invasion, Eli Stone, Sarah Connor, etc, we dont want to invest the time in a new show only to have it canx after 4 or 6 episodes. These shows arent like comedies where you can watch one and skip a bunch and its still funny and theres no issue with missing one. If the networks want the viewers to invest their time in these new shows, they need to at least let us know they're willing to stick it out and give the viewers closure if it doesnt succeed instead of just replacing it with reruns of something else. Until they do that, we're hesitant to start watching something new.
As far as V goes, I really am enjoying it and hope it does continue on next year as planned. But, we'll see.

I am with you about the networks. I am sick of shows getting cancelled a few eps in etc. Give things a chance I say.

I hope V stays. It is good and has a lot of potential.

I'm really enjoying it and I regret what the hiatus may do to the series' ratings.
