^^^Yeah somebody seriously needs to explain to me why the judges have such a hardon for Casey. He can't sing so he growls instead. And I don't even think he's that hot of a cub, not like David Cook.

Jacob definitely is not the one to beat...maybe the one to beat for 7th place. He's not doing good....these past 2 performances have been unbearable. He's fine in his lower register but when he goes up and starts screaching or his "Lusk Stank" as he put it it's horrible and he loses it all.

Yeah, I'm very disappointed in him. He has a great voice, obviously, but he needs to show a little better taste in how he uses it. Even Adam Lambert changed it up occasionally with a quiet ballad. That's what Jacob needs to do right away or people are going to get tired of him...

I'm listening to part of the performances on the radio. Which one of these guys mangled Nirvana? That was pure crap! And what in the hell are the judges hearing?! Gotta start watching the show again just for the goof factor.

Because they want to perv over him like they do with David Archuletta. A Stefano Thread with posts like "I want to have him stand on a step ladder naked while I spread his ass, shove my tongue in it and go lelelhlhlehlehlelhelhelhelehlehlhleh" will be showing up ANY day now.



Personally, I think Stefano sounds a little nasally, and would sound more popish in the style of the guy from The Script. This IS a pop music competition, so he has a chance of winning.

I don't think Casey looks old. He has a baby face hidden under the beard. But I like the beard too. I loved the Nirvana performance. The singing wasn't good but the crazy faces were awesome. So entertaining!

I had my "testify" hand raised so high while reading your comment. Don't get the Casey fuss. He was so out of tune these past two weeks. Also, you kinda defeat the purpose if you have to ask someone to call you sexy.

Salemite made a point earlier about Stefano that I agree with though: he's technically brilliant but he still has a problem connecting with the audience when he performs. He's almost there, but he needs to forge that relationship with the audience. J-Lo pretty much told him that and she's been the only spot on judge all season (and she clearly wants him to do it cuz she wants to bang him).

I'm reasonably optimistic that Stefano can learn to do it though.

Lauren bothers me. She comes off like she thinks she's just so adorable and lovable and... blarghgrhgrh. And I think she's been the most overpimped contestant based on screentime to talent ratio. They slobbered all over her auditions for weeks and I rolled my eyes each time.

But, at least I have more of an opinion about her than I do about half of the other girls in the top 13. Two of them are already gone, though.

I think you are right and he can learn to connect better with the audience like J-Lo said well first she was saying Eye contact with me basically lol it's so funny how obvious it is that she wants him lol too bad he's mine! and yeah I'm sure he'll be able to learn how to do it, but we'll just have to wait and see

^I cant say I entirely disagree either. But J-lo is such a skank the way she was mouthing the words when Stefano was singing, like a damn Justin Bieber fan. She's a ho for sure. lol. But if I was shacked up with Marc Anthony I'd get moist over Stefano too.

That's exactly the problem I have with him. I won't deny that he's very talented, but stylistically, there's nothing that makes him unique to me. I don't feel "connected" to him in any way. He just bores me.

He's ( Stefano) is about the only one that doesn't bore me, and I totally agree that Lauren is a "I'm so cute you can hardly stand it" girl.

I like Casey. I think he is talented, humorous, great musician, and a little doofus.

Paul Mc is the trash talent here along with Naima. Neither has shown me a thing. Mc does those gawky moves across the stage while looking like he is about to splash the stage with bile, all the while showing his dental work.

Stefano was just sparkling in his performance and if his squinting eyes is all anyone has a problem with, a little practice in front of the mirror, or have someone stand right in front of him and make him look at them while he sings - hopefully correction won't throw him off.

Jahiccup Lusk on the other hand does everything so loud, over the top, eye balls roaming the side aisles, almost never on pitch or in tune.

Haley is about the only girl who can stay in tune, use her voice in so many interesting ways and entertains and yet she ended final 3 and Paul did not (WTF was that).

Scotty will do his thing all the way to the finals along with "I'm so special I can hardly stand it myself'" Lauren.

Pia and Thia will still sing nicely but not really any differently than so many before them who fell like cheap polyester by the wayside.

You guys are out of control you are letting the hotness of a cute young italian boy overcome actual talent. Stefano voice is not good at all! and if it was not for that wildcard he would of been gone a long time ago. Sadly this is what it has come down to who is the hottest to win idol? And my original prediction that the girls are being picked off one by one look at the bottom 3 from the other night all women! Sooner or later no women will be left.

A quick search through this thread shows EXACTLY the problems with this show.

If someone is cute, he gets defended. Some act like he is an amazing singer, others just outright admit they want him on tv as long as possible.

Then there's the people who trash others that threaten their precious boy.

On that note, there is no way on Earth, heaven, hell, Mars, Atlantis, the sun, cyberspace, Hogwarts, Tattoine, or anywhere else that Paul is in the same class as Naima. She blows him away without trying. She's stumbled, but at least she's been on point. Can't say the same for Paul.

Naima is refreshing. She is original, determined, beautiful, and talented. On top of it all, she isn't afraid of being herself. She's not trained, so she WILL stumble, as will they all. But in the end if she's voted off early, it proves without any doubt that too many people either want:

A: Pop prince/princess
B: Country cowboy/cowgirl;
C: Cute/Hot winner to look at

Look at Thia. The girl does not have a strong voice and is in tears when the judges go easy on her. But people act like she is great.

Or Jacob Lusk putting "Lusk StanK" or whatever the hell it was on that song. Randy Jackson continued acting like an idiot talking about how great it was, while my ears were recovering from it's awfulness.


Biggest example: Casey. What the hell is so great about this growling Tayler Hicks copy? He hardly sings, mostly growls, and is taking all his moves from the Taylor Hicks playbook.

I'm hoping this season is the last if someone like Naima is churned out as "trash talent" because she's original and people don't vote for her because that originality goes right over their heads.
