American Idol: Season 10

Well, I guess Jennifer's panties are now safe from mid-show gushing over her boy.

Hey, it's a long time to be away from the girls back home...and they have to let off a bit of steam and sexual energy. Who can blame them? ;)

Really, though, they should be all slashed up in "Idol" fanfic. If they haven't already. What a great couple. Stefano would totally be a "power bottom". ..|
 
James has been looking a bit chunky in the past couple of weeks. It's probably the wife beaters. Either way I approve.
 
I hate to admit that I find James hot but...yeah he kinda is.

My predictions have been awful this season. I thought for sure Stefano was safe!
 
Jacob Lusk reminds me of a drag queen without the makeup.

When I saw the bottom 2, I was hopeful.

But no, being boring proved worse than being Jacob.

And, of course, VFTW is rolling in this. Picking a shamelessly pimped and popular contestant with only bad performances (and being voted off for dramatic effect) for a track record. Yeah, like he was really in danger of getting voted off while Stefano and Lusk still sat nearby.
 
Dave knows what he's doing when it comes to making a VFTW pick. People gave him shit for picking Paul earlier in this season and we saw how well that turned out. Especially after he outlasted the pimped pony named Pia Toscano and the site got flooded with hate mail.

Also, I think Durbin and Alaina are both higher than Casey on the pimped scale. They practically rained confetti down and threw a parade for Lauren during her very first performance in the auditions, and Durbin has every sob story in the book, which I'm sure the producers are loving. Suddenly in recent weeks the judges went from loving Casey's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" to using it as the point of reference of him being "bad," and they never really compliment his voice, instead saying things like he's "original" or whatever.

There are multiple factors in VFTW's picks. Some include judge hatred (of which there is little to none this year), audience hatred (Stefano), bad singing (Casey and Haley's growling and Jacob's oversinging), funny performances (Casey and in recent weeks Haley), back talking and/or ignoring the judges (again, Casey's), not being TCO (eliminating Lauren and James), and NOT BEING BORING (which eliminated Lauren, Stefano and, based on their performance this week, Haley and Jacob).
 
At the start of the season- I was jumping all over my seat over how I thought this would shape up to be an awesome season (after the wreck that was season 9), but as weeks go, boy it's kinda flipped 180 on me. There's almost no more excitement as I see these guys go up onstage anymore.

I'm still rooting for my girl Lauren (don't understand the animosity everyone else has for her over here...) To me she sings so effortlessly and her voice is so unique. But it's true what the judges point out- she doesn't push herself far enough. I hope she's one of those people who- fly underneath the radar early on then at the last hurdle smashes it out of the ballpark.

At this rate the top 3 would probably be Casey, Lauren and James. Haley is one who did another 180 on me, at the beginning of the competition, with her horrid cover of Falling, I was SURE she was the FIRST to go home. Now watching her weeks after weeks after weeks, and performing Adelle on top of it- she's got my support for sure.

I'm wondering where did the Idol gives back go? Are they not having it this season? So how do they decide which seasons have it and which don't?

Plus I thought from earlier on the producers were mentioning contestants get to perform their original song and something about shooting and directing their own video clip. But so far none of it has happened.

My predictions with how the top 6 will look like:
1. James Durbin
2. Lauren Alaina
3. Casey Abrams
4. Scotty Mccreery
5. Haley Reinhart
6. Jacob Lusk

Though Ideally Pia should have been somewhere up there.

Well thanks for your concern my darling, but I am not OK. I'm a little distraught actually. I'm gonna stab America. But once I saw him in the bottom again, I wanted him to go. It got to a point where he just expected it. My baby deserves better than that.

Meanwhile all those damn country bumpkins and Casey are gonna sail to the end. Gross.

The thing that bothers me about anybody who decides to ruin dreams is just that it is a wicked format and I don't support it no matter who, what, when, where. It is just a mean spirited thing to do IMHO. Certainly the inner imp kind of rejoices when someone you don't like gets the axe but I wouldn't want to be part of dream killing. VFTW is that. Ever been in a spot where someone steps on your heart?
