This was Scotty's best performance tonight, but it still lacks the strong emotional connection he made on Carole King night.

They're probably gonna give this round to him.

Eh. Haley sounded good on the chorus of "You Oughta Know" but the rest of it was mediocre. She should've gone with the stripped down version. This could have been a moment but it wasn't.

The judges shockingly nailed it with their commentary on this one.
 
By my count, Haley had one great performance (Zeppelin), one half of a great performance (Stevie Nicks), and one half of an OK performance (Alanis).

Scotty had one OK performance (Kenny Rogers) and the other two were typical smirky, unremarkable Scotty.

Lauren Alaina was so forgettable I don't even remember anything she sang.
 
Haley would've done herself justice to get more hands-on with the arrangements, she's had some great songs and vocals bogged down by elementary backing music. i dunno if she's gonna make top two, i dread a mccreepy and lauren obesa finale.
 
So Haley wins the night, but will she get the vote? Scotty is safe so it all depends on whether or not Lauren has super-fans.

No, their fingers are too big to dial, type or text so we're safe on that. My concern is that the nation's obese will team up with the nation's rednecks to oust haley. :(

my hope is that country fans will divide the vote the way black folks did with tasia the oscar winner and that other chick. maybe they'll split and end up sailing haley right into the finale. :gogirl:

But aren't they also afraid of her? They should be, she has arms the size of lumberjacks. Whether it's muscle or fat weight = force. They better vote for her if they ain't tryna get stomped. :help:
 
Haley won the night for me...I don't care which one is next to her as long as she's in the final 2
 
I dont hate Lauren nearly as much as Pepper. I don't think anyone does tbh, but Lauren's first getup made me want to crack my tvscreen. She should lose just for that hideous outfit. I couldnt even pay attention to the rest of her performances.

And of course I'm rooting for little Haley and I'm glad she did Stevie and Alanis. But she sang the wrong fucking songs for both! How amazing would it have been if she sang "Edge of Seventeen" followed by "Uninvited"?
