American Idol: Season 10

The only comfort I take is that Lauren Alaina WILL get her comeuppance.

The stats I mentioned before played out tonight in Haley's defeat and they will (thankfully) play out in Lauren's defeat as well next week. Scotty -- like every other winner since power-texting -- has never been in the Bottom Three and Lauren has. Also, most if not all the Idol winners have been the ones who were pronounced Final 2 first on results night. And that was Scotty this time, not Lauren.

Ironically the same power-texting teen girls who ruined last season for me by giving it to Lee over Crystal will be my salvation this year by not giving it to Lauren. Silver lining people.
 
OMG! I'm watching back Haley's exit performance and -- did any of you notice this the first time? -- she totally changed the lyrics to "Randy and J Lo have yo seen them yet?" right as she was up in their faces and then, "Oh but they're so spaced out!"

LMAO! Haley totally called them out in her song. God I love this chick.

Best fucking exit performance ever!!

 
I love that basically every VFTW pick from the finals this season, including honorary VFTW hippie goddess Naima, was in attendance for Haley's singout, since she was the last remaining amazing member of this cast to be eliminated. <3

Oh, and Jennifer's stone face when Haley sings the lines that you pointed out was kind of funny too.

And VFTW predictably jumps on the Scotty bandwagon so they can yell "VFTW Victory" next week as if they made a difference.
 
well that was the most boring finale ever....but if I had to pick between then two...Lauren was better tonight. Scottie lacked the energy he had the first time he sang "Gone"..."Check Yes or No" was just alright...nothing special...and his winner's single was just boring.

Lauren...though I think she's nowhere near ready to actually be a professional singer (she has the voice, but not the maturity/experience right now I think)...I think she did very well tonight.

The moment she walked out to sing to her mother I said "Sorry Scottie, you haven't got a shot now."

oddly enough, Lauren's winner's single is a cover of a Kristy Lee Cook song.

So basically, no matter the outcome of the season, Kristy Lee Cook wins either way. Lauren's winner song is Kristy's, and Scotty's name completes Kristy's curse of the last four winners being David COOK, KRIS Allen, LEE DeWyze and ScotTY McCreery. :lol:

Didn't watch tonight, came here to see how you guys thought it went, and LOVED this comment!

I know Scotty's gonna win but what was the general consensus about who did better tonight? If there even was one.
 
OMG that Lauren Alaina "tribute" to her freaky, creepy stage mom was equally parts disturbing and amazing. I mean let's face it...her mom has been the real star of the season. ;)
 
R we sure that is her Mom and not the other way around. The "mom" looks like she has had enough work done to pass as Joan River's twin sister. And as Lauren approached her she had her hand toward heaven in that Holy Roller kind of way and the hug was as plastic (ooops, don't ruin my make-up, dear) as those little rings that hold coke six packs.

Scotty is just a wee tad weird in how he holds himself as he sings, leaning sideways into a twist and holds the microphone like a dick that is about to shoot off in his face.

I thought both of them were blah, and one no more blah that the other blah.
