Chris had to wait until after he was judge to say what he needed to say, he could not stop that. He is supposed to sing, get judged, then there's a short interview. He couldn't just stop singing and make those comments, he had to wait for his chance to talk. He shouldn't have talked back to Simon and it's apparent that the situation made him a little flustered before he could send his love for VT. Chris is from Virginia, so obviously this tragedy hit him hard. Did you not see the tears forming in his eyes after he said that? To say he made those comments for the sympathy vote is pretty heartless and disrespectful.

Ding,dong,the kitsch is dead!America comes to its senses and sends Sanjaya back home!!!And Fergie's performance was not impressive...she was as karaoke as any performance criticized for sinking to that level....Chris looked yummy showing off his gun s and Blake looked in "fine form" as well,glad he survived being in the bottom 3!:D ..| :gogirl:

Lucked out though,as Blake is a better singer.But if Justin can have a big career with his voice not being really all that rangy and flexible,and God knows Fergie and Gwen Stefani aren't great singers...Chris is so easy on the eyes and,well,you know...between the legs!:D

No offense to Sanjaya but man am I glad that dude is GONE!! Next week, Lakisha and Blake need to crank it out!! Am surprised that Blake got in the bottom 3. He is deserving of at least top 4.

No excuse.. but he still chose the wrong time, and it came off very badly. IMO that's the reason he was not in the bottom 3, because Blake is definitely the better singer.. and I"m not even a fan of either.

He could have told the producers that before he sits down with Seacrest or at the beginning of the show with Seacrest. He wanted to comment on the Virginia situation.. and he didn't want this to have any affect on the voting or anything like that. He just wanted to express his sympathy. I would have explained it to the audience that way.. so that theyknow were I'm coming from. Of course it is still risky, but atleast it didn't come AFTER the judges comments, after the performance, or when the numbers are put on the screen.

You take responsibility when you are responding to something like this.. because any decision you make when dealing with something like this will come off badly.. But if you plan it just right... it won't come out as inappropriate. And it won't be as controversial.

Or to avoid the whole thing(without any suspicion).. they could have as a group expressed sympathy at the beginning of the show.. with Chris R. giving a special comment :D

I was supporting Sanjaya, but I have to admit, the whole thing was getting a bit boring. And he was genuinely bad last night. I hope Jordan wins.

I'll admit, I almost felt bad for the guy after they announced he was leaving and the audience cheered like mad as he cried...............almost
