Blake needs to go next week on American Idol

The beat boxing is sooo old. He gave two lowsy performances. Every one else at least gave one good performance.

I was really surprised when I checked dialidol.com... it has (according to busy signal frequencies) Blake and Jordin safe and Melinda and Lakisha in the bottom 2.

I actually wouldn't be too surprised if Blake made it to the top 2. I would be surprised though if he actually won. But then again, that gray-haired dude won last year, so you never know. To me though, Jordin is the only real choice. I do like Melinda and Lakisha though.

but then if she goes tonight she will have an amazing career

the girl can sing.

maybe the best thing so she's not stuck with the 19E contract.

I am the Barbra Streisand freak of all Barbra Streisand freaks. How could Gibb say Jordin's version of Woman In Love was different than Barbra's? It was the exact same arrangement and she sang it exactly the same way. (Except that Barbra sang it on pitch.) IMO they were all boring tonight. Blake was the worst, but I think he'll get Chris' votes and be safe. Melinda, whom I love, really disappointed me, except for the second part of her second song. She may be going home, but I'd still bet Lakisha goes tomorrow night.

Jordin's very likeable and sounds fantastic sometimes, but she's developing a very annoying tendency to shriek on high notes - it just makes me cringe, and I want someone to tell her to stop it, but the judges never mention it. I know she can avoid it, because it only happens sometimes, but damn it sucks when she does. Still, I bet she wins.

I've loved Melinda from Day 1. Today she was kinda subdued, but still cool. She's the only one I'd go to see in concert. I love her strut, too. She and Blake have stage presence.

Blake is okay. I actually thought this was a good day for him, a good style of music for him to shine. Plus he's cute as a button (gotta own my bias). The beatboxin's gotta go, though - fun, but doesn't belong most of the time.

Lakisha's also hit/miss. If she could pull it together, she could blow the others away, but she's my guess to get the axe tomorrow.

im not sure, i think the songs were hard because they were from a different time and different genre. i will say that of the performances tonight, his was the worst. but i think if they were able to sing one Gibb song and one of their own choosing from any artist, it would be a difficult decision.

also.....did you see the new hair tonight with the highlights?? im thinking those rumors about him and chris may have a little more merit now.....LOL

I was surprised tonight. None of them had a "wow" night at all and with only four of them that seems like it would have been a goal. I think all four were so-so tonight.

Very so-so. I thought Blake was the worst, but I think he'll get Chris' votes and be safe. I'm very worried for my Melinda, but I've kind of reconciled myself to the fact that Blake and Jordin will probably be the finalists.

I agree Blake and Jordin are probably the most marketable than the other 2.The Voice #1 of course but, gotta be marketable as well.Where's Rubin,Fantasia,Taylor(tumbleweeds Blowin')?:-)

Overall tonight was very blah!

I was so frustrated tonight! Of course I was rooting for my Blakey but I absolutely realize that people would not appreciate his performances so yeah my baby is in not good territory right now.............................
(I totally voted for him 15 times!)

But, yeah, Lakisha needs to go next. Sorry girl but your vocals are nothing particularly special.

Jordin is going to win Idol this season........

Awwww my baby is totally going to be in the bottom two tomorrow night!

Honestly I'm not saying this just because I'm obviously biased lol, but his performances really weren't that bad. I loved the second song even though no one's really heard it before......

I hope Lakisha "nothing special" goes home.
