My friend is a singer, and while she liked his performance of the song, she cringed when he was falling behind the music.

Blake is good, and I would probably buy his album, but he's just not the best.

Randy misfired with his pick for Melinda. You don't give Tina Turner music for Whitney Houston. She performed much better in her last two songs. Seems pretty obvious to me that the judges are worried she'll be eliminated this week.

Miss Sparks had better go into the finals. She's the only one who can bring it on nearly every level.

Side note: My friends and I joked about playing a drinking game before the show. Every time Randy said "Dawg" we would supposedly take a drink. Every week he assaults viewers' ears with his repeated use of the word. Tonight--he said it maybe two times the whole show, with the first time at the half-way point. Has someone finally told him that not only does it make him sound less intelligent than Paula, but that it's also quite inappropriate and crude to call women "Dawg?"

Only time will tell.

I voted for Jordin. Hopefully it'll be her and Melinda head to head. Love Blake but he's out of his league.

I didn't understand the judges reaction to Jordin either. Her last performance was spectacular! But the judges, even though they seemed to like it, just didn't seem too impressed.
Melinda's voice it technically perfect, but man, it's hard for me to imagine her ever releasing any kind of interesting music. But I can see how old people like Simon would be into her.

I really think the judges believe Jordin is a lock for the finale, but that they are worried Melinda might get booted before then. I think they feel it should be Melinda and Jordin in the final. Last week dialidol.com had Melinda in the bottom with Lakisha.

Melinda's performance of Whitney Houston's song was SOOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOORING. It put me to sleep. I'm not a professional musician, myself... but I do love to sing, and I've been told by many that I have a great voice (I know, everyone says that, LoL). If I sang that song, it would've sounded completely different. And once again, the judges LOVED it, even though I was disappointed. I thought it was boring as hell! Her vocals didn't go anyplace new. The other two songs were decent, but I still can't get past the frog/throaty super-fast vibratto thing that she does with her voice in certain parts of her songs.

I thought that Jordin was the best of the night. Her vocals were very fluid and on point, her songs built to a vocal climax and her final notes were all unique... I thought she was great. The judges, however? They weren't very kind to her tonight. Did they do this on purpose? Is it their way of getting her fans worried enough to vote even more than usual to secure her position in the finale, or did they REALLY feel the way they said they did? Whatever the case, I completely disagreed with their critiques of her -- especially Simon's.

Jordin deserves to win this. When it comes to VOCALS, she's the best. This isn't "America's Next Top Beat-Boxer." It's American fucking Idol!

Randy and Paula (who loved almost everyone) loved Jordin's performance. Only Simon gave a not-so-ok review.

I don't get it with the obsession with Jordin. What's her package? Her age? You do know that there are 20+ singers out there who could eclipse her, and she has to fight hard to get enough attention to her. Her sexiness? Her ability to carry rock songs? Her what?

I am not disliking Jordin. But this talk about her having the package - I just don't see it.

If she were to release an album at the same time as Aguilera, Spears, Beyonce or Pink, how will she be able to offer different from these girls who are supposed to be in her league?

I am not saying that all of the 3 finalists can. But I am just not seeing the package people claimed Jordin has.

Why does anyone care what the "judges" think, say or do?
They are not really judges at all.
Its not up to them who wins or loses.
Its up to the public.
I believe the "judges" are paid to appear and make their comments.
Simon gets paid to act the way he does and to make the comments
that he makes.
The same for Paula and Randy.

Okay, so tonight I acutally want Blake to go home. I know, I know.....but he'll be fine because he's gotten so much great exposure so of course he's going to land a deal.

I can't believe I'm not rooting for Melinda anymore (the shame!) but I absolutely 100 percent want Jordin to win. She was breathtaking last night!!!!

It just shows how individual musical taste is. I thought Melinda outsang them both. I'm sure Blake's and Jordin's fans feel they did the same. I'm praying for Melinda. Even though Melinda would have an easier time beating Blake (if she makes it to the finals), I'd rather Melinda and Jordin were the final two.

I think last night was one of the best Top 3 shows I've seen. Everyone had 1 off performance, a pretty good one and then an OMG performance.

I think the judges were overly harsh to Jordin. It's clear they want Blake and Melinda but I really want Blake gone! He's cute and has a good voice but he is soo out of his league.

He can be annoying some times (everytime he starts that beatboxing shit..get over it!)

But I like all 3.

I just had a wonderful inspiration. If Blake goes, his crazy teengirl fanbase might blame Jordin and then vote for Melinda. (Last year a lot of the Daughtry and Yamin (sp?) fangirls voted for Taylor, because they were mad that Kat made it to the finals over them.)

I have to say I do not agree with who went home tonight. Based on singing, it was definately wrong. I wont say who I think should go because I don't want to ruin the results for anyone. If you don't care, highlight below:

It should not have been Melinda. In my opinion, either Blake or Jordin should have gone. I don't think Blake was good enough to outsing Melinda or Jordin and I think a mistake was made, sending the best singer home.

So that's what I think. I just think the results were a big mistake.
