If Phil and Chris are out then I think Blake actually has the competition locked. He has a fairly large fan base as it is... and Blake will become the VTFW pick... I think that might actually be enough to make him win. If it's Blake that goes home and not Chris then I'm gonna say Melinda or Jordan will win... I don't think VFTW would be enough to save him.

Yes Jordin wasn't at her best but i doubt voters would send her home based on one performance, so its looking like bye bye Chris, because Blake brought it last night.

Chris is gone.....I'm sad for him and Blake. There is no dought that they love eachother. Did you see Blake cry? They hugged like three times and it was so touching. That Bitch Jordan should have gone home.

I'm glad Chris is gone...Blake needs to go next.

All season, both their singing left me feeling as if I were waiting for their nuts to drop and puberty to set in.
And that beat-boxing Blake does? Come on, I mean how 1988 is that????

Phil was ghatsly, so good riddance to him also.

Melinda, Jordin & LaKisha are goddesses.

Now the REAL competition begins on Idol. The 4 best singers in the competition-Melinda,Blake,LaKisha,Jordin-are left.Any one of them is worthy of winning Idol. Pretty sure all 4 will get recording contacts. Cant wait till next week!

You really can't knock the beatboxing,as even Justin has done it and does it well!The girls are goddesses,and anyone of them winning would be a good choice.But I wouldn't sell Blake short at all.He beatboxes but can really bring it vocally.From Keane to Marc Anthony to Jon Bon Jovi,he can handle so much material and I'm certain would be a fresh and innovative face on his own in the music industry,he CAN really sing,he's no novelty beatbox wonder.His "Time of the Season" was sexy and smooth and exciting...if Blake won,he would legitimately deserve it,but right now he's got a great music career open to him with his showing.

I thought I'd be all depressed if Chris left but I'm actually really happy for him. 5th is a really good spot, if it was 6th then I'd be really mad. And the way he went out made me smile. Him, Blake and Jordin are the ones who are going to make it big although Melinda will probably win. Predictions:
-Lakisha will deffinately go next.
-Blake will be in the top 2 for sure but will get 2nd place.
-Jordin and Melinda will both either place 1st or 3rd.
-I wouldn't be shocked if Melinda goes next week though. 4th place is where a lot of the season's frontrunner who everyone expected to win, leaves. That includes Daughtry, Latoya and Tamyra.

Most people including myself thought Jordin was extraordinary last week,and was really off her game and out of her element Tuesday night...even Jordin realized it and said so.Chris went out with two good performances in a row,but last night,but four were better Tuesday night,even Phil.I love Chris,and he'll do great and have a fine carrer either solo or combining that with his songwriting and musical instrument talents.He went where I always thought he would go.

You're right surge about next week's unpredictability, I feel either Lakisha or Blake will go home after disco night....I wouldn't count Blake out though against the girls,though...he's damn good.

I love that Lakisha is still around.

Some people were worried about Jordin tonight. R U nuts? She's probably gonna win unless she makes some major screw-ups in the coming weeks. She's easily the most marketable.

It's a shame Phil was booted off the same week as Chris. He's not my type of musician but I have to admit that he is a good singer.

He had two things going against him. 1) He sings country and 2) he isn't the most attractive guy out there. It's sad, but it's the truth.

I think Phil has a future like Doughtry (spelling) and even Bucky from last year (who has the top country song in the country now).

Chris... glad he's gone. He was no different than Sanjaya except Sanjaya had a lot of teenage girls and older men voting for him. At least Sajaya was doing his own routine. The falsetto he was attempting to do is hard to accomplish. Chris on the other hand just listened to Justin before going onstage to sing. I'd rather have a singer trying to win versus someone trying to impersonate another well known singer (even down to their clothes Chris copied Timberlake.)

Looking at this thread, I guess Simon was right about the 50% hate, 50% love for Blake. I personally loved him - he brought some excitement and originality into the song, which the others don't have. He has only beatboxed twice so far, so you guys can't really use that against him. Plus, I think he's cute.

Vocally, Melinda, Jordin, and Lakisha are too similar for one of them to not get out next week. I would prefer it to be Jordin (she's too breathy and shrieky), but it will probably be Lakisha.

I love it when two guys can be so unashamedly in admiration and showing love and deep friendship for each other,even if they aren't secret lovers(which I doubt,but hey,does anything really come out in the the entertainment industry before it has to?)Yes,the Cake segment was great...I usually hate those barfy corny Hollywood style name combos,but they ARE so cute together,whatever!:D

I thought VFTW + the Armed Forces would have had enough strength to get Phil into the Top 4, not that he deserved to go any higher than he actually did.

The Diva Factor is going to work to Blake's advantage and probably get him to Top 3 at most likely Lakisha's expense. She'e the only remaining female who has been in the Bottom 3 already.

They'll perform two songs each next Tuesday. Other than saying Barry Gibb, were they any more specifics about the theme? At least Bee Gees have a far bigger song catalogue to choose from, when you add what they've written for other people as well.

Oh and Jon Bon Jovi sounded like shit - has he sold out to Adult Contempoary radio or what?

That Robin Thicke song spent 11 weeks at #1 on the R & B charts very recently, he was on Oprah the same show as the Top 6.

Shame he has his father's ears though. Would that make him Gloria Loring's son then?
