And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

Meanwhile, in "men wearing dresses" news:

A board which helps the Roman Catholic archbishop of New Orleans, Gregory Aymond, evaluate abuse allegations against priests and deacons in six cases found clergymen to be credibly accused only for Aymond to ignore the findings and conceal them from the public, a Guardian investigation has found.

Aymond’s management of the cases in question as the leader of the US’s second-oldest archdiocese is outlined in a memorandum which attorneys for victims of clerical sexual abuse prepared and handed to law enforcement in the latter part of last year.

When he took over leadership of New Orleans’s Roman Catholic archdiocese in 2009, one of the administrative tools that archbishop Gregory Aymond inherited was a board of advisers which was set up to help determine the credibility of sexual abuse allegations made against clerics under his command.

But, multiple times, Aymond has demonstrated his comfort with disregarding recommendations from those advisers to publicly label certain accused clerics as credibly suspected molesters...

The 48-page memo references documents handed over after the New Orleans church sought federal bankruptcy protection in 2020 in response to other abuse-related lawsuits. Broad confidentiality rules govern the proceeding, so both church officials – and, to some extent, advocates for victims – have tried to shield the memo from becoming public.

More not drag queens...

A 29 year old Ohio police officer who also worked as a school resource officer has been arrested for having sex with a 16 year old in the parking lot of the Church of the Blessed Hope in Chester Township, Ohio. The officer, Nicholas Iacampo, was on duty when the incident occurred.

And from Massachusetts:

It appears from news photographs that Mr Bistany is not a drag queen.

Always. Hiding in plain sight. Thinking that their position makes them powerful and immune. And they likely don't consider themselves molesters or groomers.

Damn...
Saw blades.

I had my doubts, so I fact-checked this claim:
...
The controversial buoys are chained to the shallow bottom of the river with a net of cables, and you can't climb over them because they spin freely.

To make sure would-be asylum seekers don't climb between them, Texas Public Radio's David Martin Davies reported after a kayak trip to the barrier, "there are also serrated metal plates that look like circular saw blades between each buoy." That detail also stuck with Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-Texas) and Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) when they visited Eagle Pass on Tuesday. Garcia said she was "appalled" by Abbott's "cruel and inhumane tactics" and unsettled by the "buoys' true danger and brutality."...

For Magali Urbina, a Republican who owns a 400-acre pecan farm along the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass, her support for Abbott's $10 billion Operation Lone Star border initiative soured when Texas troopers cut off her access to the river with razor wire, she told the Tribune.

Ten billion dollars to torture, main and even kill people at the border. Chartered buses to send migrants to New York, California, Oregon, Washington DC.

Meanwhile, in the Texas public school system, they are running a deficit because the State government won't give them any more money to pay for teachers' raises.
Lawmakers this year didn’t approve extra money to help schools pay for raises despite having an unprecedented $32 billion surplus — even after Gov. Greg Abbott commissioned a task force last year to improve teacher pay and retention.

I remember back in 2009, George Will was on a Sunday talk-show gleefully saying that the Tea Party was the best thing to happen in the Republican Party in years. George was under the mistaken belief that the Koch Brothers funded mob with the pitchforks and torches was just out to lower taxes and shrink government.

Turns out that the Tea Party was not a tiger that the Republicans would be able to ride for very long. The tiger always turns and eats the rider.

Mitch McConnell got a taste of the tiger last week at a Kentucky event where he attempted to give a speech, as the crowd yelled "Retire!", drowning out his prepared remarks:

Move over Dominion, It's Smartmatic's turnnow.

Other defendants named in Smartmatic’s suit are Fox News as well as hosts Maria Bartiromo, Lou Dobbs and Jeanine Pirro, and another lawyer involved in Trump’s efforts to reverse the 2020 election result, Sidney Powell. The $2.7 billion lawsuit alleges the company was irreparably harmed by baseless claims that it was somehow interfering with the 2020 contest....

Rudi doesn't wanna give up his files. I can't think why.

I wonder who all goes under the bus when they take his files from him?

An influential evangelical leader said conservative voters are looking for alternatives to Donald Trump in the 2024 campaign for the White House because the former president presents “our biggest risk of losing...”

The vomit-inducing thing is that there is no crisis of conscience, no turn to Christ in all of this lust for Mammon, not a word mentioned about lying and rape, betrayal, or theft. No, Toad has to go because "they" mish lose power.

Another not-a-drag-queen pastor diddling with the kiddos:

A former associate pastor at First Baptist Indialantic, Robinson was arrested by West Melbourne police on July 28.

Ooopsie...

One of the guys who helped fund the QAnon-connected film, "The Sound of Freedom, which makes outlandish claims about child kidnapping and explotation, was arrested for... wait for it... child kidnapping. Fabian Marta's name is listed as one of the donors in the credits of the film.

A Chesterfield man is the subject of national news media coverage today over his recent arrest in the city on child kidnapping charges.

Fabian Marta, 51, stands accused by Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore of “accessory child kidnapping,” a Class A felony. The complaint alleges that Marta assisted a woman referred to as “Suspect 1” in harboring her children at an apartment building he owned “knowing she had taken them illegally” from a lawful parent. It accused him of “refusing to allow police access to the residence and impeding the kidnapping investigation.”

Another day, another pastor, another 13 child molestation charges...

A convicted sex offender currently serving as an associate pastor was arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police on new charges, according to law enforcement.

Robert Price, 56, was located and arrested by the CMPD’s violent criminal apprehension team early Friday, department officials said.

Price has been charged with 13 counts of indecent liberties with a minor and one count of statutory sexual offense, authorities said.
