Good Thursday evening Frankie, Loner, Gary, Thad, and Paul!
Frankie, that sounds like a bad situation with your Grandmother and your family. Why doesn't she have a will? The way you say your family is, it sounds like things could get ugly very fast. My prayers for you, your Grandmother, and your family.
Thad, I'm glad you're enjoying your trip to Niagara Falls and Canada. I have never been there, and it seems like a fairly easy trip to make, even from Florida.
Gary, I hope you're doing well, and the heat hasn't been getting you down.
Well, today I got back to typical activities. I finished fertilizing my fruit trees today. I usually do the first fertilization in April, and the month is almost over, so I figured I'd better get it done. In a way it was good to get back to doing the things I want to do, since I've had a lot of crap sidetracking me lately.
Yesterday I had to replace my modem. Comcast had sent me a new modem a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't feel like messing with it. Also, I kept getting messages on my computer that I had weak security, and that I needed to reset my modem. And on top of all that, on Saturday I stopped receiving my emails. So I finally decided to take care of all that crap. But the only instructions from Comcast was to download their app. What a pain in the ass! So I tried to download it on my phone, and I got all kinds of weird messages and dead ends. Then I get messages that Apple Pay wants me to fill out all my information. WTF? I'm already a subscriber, I shouldn't have to pay anything for it! Anyway, I had to pull up Comcast on my computer, and I finally got things to work after fooling around with it for a couple of hours. It seems that the security messages finally cleared up. And I finally was able to get my emails turned back on in my settings, which I had assumed was connected with the security issue, but the settings must have switched off at the same time, causing confusion. At least I was finally able to turn my emails back on.
I've been dealing with all that other crap, that I haven't been able to get back to my driveway. I think I'm going to scale the project back, and just get someone to do the patching. And my neighbors across the street gave me a mattress. It's nice and soft, so I threw out my old mattress and box springs. But it seems the slats that came with the new mattress were cut about 1/2" too short, so they slipped off the frame, and the mattress collapsed. So now, I'm sleeping on a mattress that's caved in at the middle until I can figure out how to fix it.
Needless to say, this week I've felt overwhelmed with all this getting thrown at me at once.
