By "risk", I meant all sorts of judgment that will be passed on you if you choose to be in porn. It is not exactly the most regular activity (at least not in America) and people WILL get outraged when they learn that's what you make for a living. It seems like fun, surely, but it's too much stress people being weirded out at you should they find out about that side of your life.

Well no... most people don't get "outraged." Honestly most people are either fascinated or, once they get over the initial interest and surprise, it just becomes what you do.
Nobody has really suggested that they're weirded out by what I do. Even my parents just shrug it off.

My husband is an architect and everyone from the firm he works at know me, know what I do and it's really not a big deal to any of them. Most of my friends have what you might call "real jobs." A friend who works for NASA, doctors, teachers, actors, two friends who run the rides at Disneyland. I have a lot of close friends who work in Mainstream Hollywood movies, a have a lot of friends who work in a lot of different industries and honestly... aside from a few jerks I'm not interested in hanging out with anyway... few people have made a big deal of it at all.
One of my friends is a VP for a Toshiba. I asked him if he'd ever consider hiring someone who had worked in porn and his reaction was one of confusion... he said "why would I care what one of my people did or does in their spare time unless they're members of the KKK?"
And like I'd pointed out before. Most of my best performers have some pretty sweet jobs. Including one who's a programer for Facebook and yes... they don't and don't care.

^ No, it doesn't sound like an isolated case. So many are escorts, rent-boys, hustlers, hucksters, cutters, self-painters, creatures of the night, shady prostitutes living on the edge, etc, etc.
