I think this is a great idea. Now can I ask one favor? Could all of the "I'm so straight acting no one would ever know I'm gay", "I can't stand effeminate gays" and all such threads be moved there, so that those of us who reject stereotyping and gay bashing on a gay message board will never have to see one of them again?

they already have one

they just dont stay in there

maybe we need some of those shock dog collars to put on them and a button toclick when they act up

whatcha think?

This is a brand new forum which I'm guessing opened today, since there are only two treads as of now (and only one when I started typing this new thread.)

The reason behind creating this forum is that there was so much Bi-Bashing going on in the Naughty Bits area. By having a forum in the No Flame zone, it allows our bisexual members a safe discussion area free from the bigoted remarks and flaming.

Discussion threads from the other Bisexual Forum will - where possible be migrated over, however many will need such a large amount of flaming removed that they would no longer 'flow' and make sense. It will also be a slow process, so I would encourage people to create new ones from scratch.

putting the religion forum in the no flame zone didnt stop the bashing there

apparently the hatred of a topic is on topic in a no flame zone

while i wish you guys well with your new endeavor, i dont see how it will matter

Why was this thread made a "Sticky"? I wasn't trying to promote the new thread. I was making a semi-satirical comment about certain JUB threads. How do I contact the Mods about this? I've looked around, but can't find the directions for doing so.

^ lol. I think I stuck it by accident when I was sticking the other ones! #-o

Not that I'm condoning 'bashing', but don't you think the stereotype threads should stay where the perpitrators can be bashed for bashing other gay people?....

well i hope it works out

honestly i do

just because hot topics is getting bisexual drama arguement weary

it can only help all parties

Well, i wasn't being completely serious, but as the number of new JUBers who self-identify as bisexual has grown, so have the gay bashing threads. (My personal belief is that many of these guys are just afraid of being labeled as gay, because of the stereotypes they or their friends and/or families think of when they hear the word gay.) I'm just sick of even seeing the titles of these threads when I open the Hot Topics Forum. I try to avoid reading them, because I'm afraid anything I post there might get me banned.

Is it possible to put a whole forum on ignore?
Well if it can apply to individuals, it would be an interesting concept to see if it could apply to a Forum. The difference is, that a Forum one usually chooses to enter at their own risk or choice, thus it is an option or selection. With an individual, i believe, their postings just do not appear in your account or Your Member I. D.. Maybe the Mods Could Claify the Last Point I Have Stated.
eM.:(

So what happens to people who flame in a no flame zone? is there a warning by a mod, automatic warning point? I am curious.

I hardly visit the other forums and if flames still go on I wonder if a 'heavier' moderation goes onto users who decide to break a rule at a specific forum.

first question

how do you define flame?

LOL! I ignore lots of forums (fora?) that don't interest me. I just don't open them. But when you open Hot Topics, you have to read the thread titles to choose which ones to read. I realize I'm being childish, but I truly am utterly sick of even seeing the titles of the types of threads I mentioned in my original post. I've been reading/posting here for nearly two years and it seems it's only in the last few months that we've had so many of these negative posts about gay men. I associate that with the recent trend of so many new JUBers self-identifying as bisexual.

well there has been alot of gay bashing going on

i dont know if its wise to hang that entirely on the bisexuals though

Homosexual bashing amongst homosexuals and or bisexuals sounds worse then divide and conquer. Maybe it is a flaw in the Homosexual Profile in Psychiatry. Maybe it is a correlation that needs to be included as part of the profile as it often seems so prevelant within the Homosexual society and or culture. I mean all one has to do is watch what takes place on JUB. I guess if you want to carry this to an extreme, you might even accuse me of doing such in this posting i have made. But i bring the issue up just as an observation from the local villiage idiot of course, who else would say such things.?

I'm not hanging it "entirely" on anyone. I started this thread by using the new Bisexuality Discussion Forum, as a satirical jumping off point to complain about the bashing threads. But I do believe there is some correlation between the big increase recently in those self-identifying as bisexuals (many of whom I think are just afraid of the word gay) and the "So many gays act like fags" threads that have been popping up in greater number than I ever remember being posted here.

Josh, you're such a master in exaggerating things #-o

Its great that there is an area now where people can come and say how they are married and sleep with men on the side, how they are more masculine, how faggy feminine men are disgusting and how gay men are only good for an easy fuck without worrying about getting any negative comments back.
