Can you smell Christmas yet?

pfffft, i could smell it since last week when i went grocery shopping at wal-mart. They already had a few christmas displays being set up behind the thanksgiving stuff, which is behind the halloween stuff

Actually I smelled Christmas -- literally -- about two weeks ago. I saw a magazine with a scented advertisement for a perfume and it smelled like a Christmas tree.

EEewwww, was it RL?

Last season I had some strings of lights that failed, after I took them down I just dumped them in a box...and they remained there until this weekend when I finally fixed 'em.. (not that I'll be needing that stuff anytime soon)

The 'Hobby Lobby' craft stores here started putting all their xmas decorations & stuff out in June

I'm going through my fall phase. I got a cinnamon stick yankee candle that smells like "autumn". Still the best smelling candle they make is buttercream. It is so intoxicating.

That is some sort of gay sex metaphor I assume?

 ^ This is true, belamo.

Although it was originally a day set aside by Xtians to celebrate the birth of pre-zombie jebus.

Now, it is a whole subsidiary of QVC and Walmart.

Don't forget about Toys "R" Us *shudder*

In 2010-11 worked part time in retail at Cracker Barrel, we began to get Christmas supplies in August in the storeroom. Early October trees began to go up and shelves were filled with Christmas goods. By time Christmas came could not enjoy having be exposed to season so early.

This post is all the fault of MrBessler's #16111 on that thread you know..:

As I'm fairly busy for the next couple of weeks, I've already started preparing the JUB Christmas Card exchange ready to start at the end of this month. I tried to buy a 21st birthday card for my nephew - only to find that the selection had been mostly replaced with Christmas cards.... so I made the assistant go fetch the rest of the birthday cards from the storeroom so I'd got a decent selection to choose from!

That is just so British-village-prissy-spinster

I just want to scream at all of you.

Except we made our Christmas puddings about two weeks ago.
