Can you smell Christmas yet?

I usually get in the mood sometime between December 20-23.

I don't like the smell when corporations force it over me 2 months before Christmas. I sometimes get tired of Christmas before it has arrived.

Lol, I think it is funny how some places around the city already have christmas stuff up. But xmas does come pretty fast!
 
Tummy Hilfe-igga is whishing us happy holidays from the display windows, so it DEFINITELY must be Xmastide, shoppingwise.
 
I've set my tree up with lights and will put the ornaments on after Thanksgiving. My Mom broke her femor bone 15 weeks ago which means I'll probably do her Christmas cards and mine as well as decorate her apartment for her. I am busy with my choral group and will have no time to myself till after the holiday. I must make use of the time I have now.
 
It is now officially Christmas Season in Canada. Remembrance Day is over; Christmas is the next holiday on deck. Bring it on. :)
 
The Christmas television commercials are in full swing now. Can someone tell me why they all have sleigh bells? Nevermind, that was rhetorical. Marketers put sleigh bells in all their commercials because they think consumers react to them like Pavlov's dog. Now it's so cliched.

Today is the first official unofficial day of Christmas shopping and street kitsch and I have already been sick of it all for a few days now.

* some of the stores here are putting their xmas stuff out (one has had it since late june)
* it snowed a bit yesterday
* then there's the sets of xmas lights laying on on the floor that I recently fixed...

A local food market had Christmas candles next to the Halloween candy. I have my mat out for my trains which will be set up on my indoor porch. It was rolled up during the year for storage.
 
I can taste it! Already been eating the mince pies!
