Chick-fil-a Can Bite Me

But once again, you are determined to make this thread about race instead of the original discussion about a food chain funding organizations that actively work against your rights as a homo.

Man up. stop eating at the table of the corporation that would help prevent you from having equal rights.

And drop the attitude.

We all know that if he gave a shit about homophobia the same way he's figured out racism is wrong, he wouldn't be eating at Chic-Fil-Shit.

And of course Canada's already had a female prime minister, and two female governor generals who came as immigrants from hong kong and haiti.

So no lessons to teach us at all, except for the value of doing a little research before opening your mouth.

Of course, the publicity whore known as Sarah Palin couldn't stand all the attention she wasn't getting so she decided to get in on this.

What self-respecting homosexual would support this dangerous hate group knows as the Republican party? Republican party has become worse than the AFA and Westboro.

The Republican party is a hate group.

Apparently no one but Palin wants to be involved with them. The Berenstain family sez they're not interested, however the publisher, HarperCollins, has been working on a book of Berenstain Bears for the replacement. Maybe after this even THEY won't go forth!

Berenstain Bears Distances Itself from Chick-fil-A After Chain Uses Book as Replacement for Muppet Toys| News | Towleroad

Following the Jim Henson Company's abrupt decision to end its relationship with Chick-fil-A over the company's anti-gay donations, the restaurant chain began offering a series of books from the Berenstain Bears series instead, which has apparently horrified The Berenstain Family.

Ironically, the book reportedly being pushed in the Kids Meals is one that teaches the "Golden Rule".

Wow. Ouch.

I'll bet that most companies will be running for the exits and not want to be identified with Cathy's message of intolerance.

Time for Chik Fil A to release the hounds........

The purpose of her "dining" at CFA is to say, "Fuck all you queers!" Childish yet? What would you expect
from her? :bartshock

Well, my neighbor (the one who believes Obama has established a secret prison out west where prisoners are decapitated as fodder for organ donations) was over yesterday.

He announced he is going to Chick-fil-A tomorrow to support the poor, beleaguered company that is trying so valiantly and nobly to uphold "the biblical definition of the family." (I was nice. I did not ask him where in the bible is the holy definition of "the family.") He decried the horrible, liberal attempts to advance the cause of Satan in the form of gay marriage.

It seems Truett Cathy (Dan Cathy's father and the founder of Chick-fil-A) spoke to his church not long ago to promote hatred and bigotry against homosexuals. My neighbor was impressed. He cannot think of a better, holier, or more noble cause than to trash his fellow American faggots.

Unless it be to get that n*##$r out of the White House.

Listen, I have friends who are Republicans and share different views than I do, but none who are anti-gay** (which is the forbidden Rubicon that can never be crossed) so I have to ask, why would you even have this guy in your home to say such terrible things to you where you live?

** For clarification, I AM having a Chick-Fil-a issue with the husband of one of my oldest friends (since kindergarten) who got the right wing/Limbaugh memo that the "intolerant" left is trying to shut down CFA restaurants (STILL waiting for the names of the stores) for having an opinion, conveniently omitting the support of anti-gay groups that is really fueling this. I quote my friend, "the intolerant people are the ones that want to shut down CFA for having an opinion despite absolutely no evidence that they use that opinion to discriminate against gay employees or customers." It's going to be an uphill battle but I hope I can get through to him or I'm out.

I see things are heating up on Chick Fil A. I haven't personally been to the one 5minutes away but it's my own personal boycott. I have friends and family that still go there but they are not politically inclined and probably have no idea of what is going on, they are there for the food.

Well, in what should come as a surprise to absolutely no one, the Log Cabin Republicans have weighed in and, guess what? Gays who are against CFA are "spoiled children!"

From R Clarke Cooper (Executive Director of the LCR)
Turning a chicken sandwich into Public Gay Enemy Number One makes LGBT people look superficial, vindictive and juvenile -- everything that we as a community have worked hard to overcome. Remember, employers don't want drama queens on the payroll, military service is serious business, and marriage is not a right society grants to spoiled children. While in a perfect world our equality should not depend on our good behavior, in a world where our rights too often hinge on political reality, the way our movement conducts itself matters.

He absolutely doesn't get ANY OF IT!

Be good, be polite and maybe ONE DAY they will see fit to reward us for our GOOD BEHAVIOR by finally granting us what is rightfully ours (but only if we're POLITE!)

FUCK YOU COOPER AND AND THE RIDICULOUSLY SELF LOATHING, DELUDED GROUP OF COLLABORATORS YOU RODE IN ON, TOO!

I don't know what makes me want to puke more.

The thought of ever eating at a Chik Fil A....or the nonsensical and frankly disgusting nonsense that the LCR stands for.

They are the Kapos of the Republican camps for homo rights.

Hopefully this attack will be met with the type of outrage from all quarters that it deserves.

After this big-blow-up are you surprised to learn that your Family & Friends eat as much Fried Chicken Biscuits & Fried Chicken Sandwiches as they say they do?

There's a Hardees, Bojangles, McD's & Burger King lighting the way to my job and I always see my co-workers with food from one of those joints....The nearest CFA is about 15 min away...

I'm not much of a breakfast person but if I'm gonna get a biscuit I will usually chose a Chicken biscuit over a Sausage biscuit, Bacon-egg & Cheese biscuit or Ham biscuit.....

Oh come on, you KNOW Cooper's cronies never bottom, it wouldn't be straight acting.

Consequences cannot violate an individuals right to free speech.

We can certainly sit around being very precious about things nobody said, and yet the point remains, it violates no one's free speech to say this asshole needs to get what he deserves and go bankrupt on a huge tide of consequences.

There's a BIG difference between Black Activists and Gay White Activists..We know how to deal with Straight White Men that TRY to deny us of our rights, ya'll don't....You're still learning...And it must be very difficult fighting people that look just like you......

And one final thing T-Rexx..Let me know when and if you ever plan on Marching for Gay Civil Rights...Then and ONLY then will I give you an ounce of credibility...

In other words, you Black folk know what you're doing and we stupid gay white honkies are amateurs who don't compare to your greatness.

Please forgive us for demanding rights. Clearly, we cretins should not be asking for justice (especially from straight white men, about whom you know so much more than we).

Message received.

Freedom of speech means you won't get thrown in jail. It does not mean you should not face consquences such as boycotts.

No one is suggesting boycotts aren't a good idea or a violation of free speech. We're discussing the urge by people here and elsewhere that believe CFA should be prevented from opening restaurants based on the comments of their CEO.

Boycotts are fine. But you can't deny the company the right to open restaurants based on this alone.

If I was the state, you might have a point. But then I'm not the state and I'm perfectly within my rights to deny haters the right to open any restaurants on my property, to rail about them in the public sphere, to encourage people to eat elsewhere, to point out they give money to hate groups, to call what's his name a fucktard, and anything else I can come up with.

I for damn sure I'm not going to be caught tippy toeing around the sensibilities of homophobes. If the fucktard has a legitimate grievance that his free speech has been violated then let him take it to the courts like everyone else.
