Hurt Her amazing vocals on this one will get her a few more Grammys.
Mercy Me

Just read on Wikipedia that the track F.U.S.S. means "Fuck U Scott Storch" because Scott wasn't asked to be on the album and he threw a fit and that led to Christina & him not being friends anymore. LOL

Christina didn't want to use him because she wanted to try something new and different....and so Scott had a temper tantrum on a Rolling Stone article and dissed her.

Anyways, I GOT THE ALBUM!! She looks gorgeous and the songs are so masterful and some of the songs I listened to gave me goosebumps! I really like this album and I hope Christina has an excellent year!!

Actually, she told GQ back in June (when she was on the cover) that a then un-named producer from the Stripped sessions tried to hit on her; he ended up treating her like a piece of meat and she felt incredibly disrespected. It turns out it was Scott Storch. That's why he wasn't asked by Christina to contribute work on BTB, obviously. He didn't whine to Rolling Stone about not being asked back until recently-just as the album was about to come out. On the current Rolling Stone (where she's on the cover too) they asked her about what he said and she responded "He wanted a private plane??? I thought he was supposed to be a big baller??" Ouch.

This is seriously one of the best albums I've ever listened to, not only musically, but also one of the most vocally inspiring albums ever.

I think she did an awesome job... I still have 2 buy the cd just 2 support her but I love every song... Jessica and all others coming out with cd's will have a hard time topping this

"Back to Basics" is number 1 on iTunes, amazon.com, and Barnes and Noble. I have a feeling she'll have the number 1 album on Billboard.

I hate Christina but I must admit I love "Slow Down Baby", "The Right Man", and "Oh Mother"

P.S.

Why does Britney have to be brought up everytime Christina is mentioned? It's stupid.

Seriously, there different as night and day now.

I fuckin LOVE this CD. I really think it has Grammy potential. Hope it at least gets nominated (if not wins) Album of the Year.

Candyman, FUSS, Slow Down Baby, ANOM, and Still Dirrty are the best!

It may have taken awhile, but it sure was worth the wait, Christina!

I KNOW!! Do you think Britney could have pulled off an album such as BACK TO BASICS? Hell freakin No!!!

You guys....I CANNOT STOP LISTENING TO "UNDERSTAND"!!! It's like the best R'nB ballads since Mariah's "We Belong Together". I really, hope she releases it in the future!

There are some serious amazing R&B songs on this cd!! And for all the people who complain that all she does is "screech" and "freak out" when she sings, then they really need to listen to BTB. Her voice just gets stronger and stronger. I got so many chills listening to songs like "Understand" and especially "Hurt." I pray she releases "Hurt" as a single. All the Christina haters will definitely have a second thought when they hear her stunning vocals on that song!!! :)

The album is brilliant...Christina really knows whats she's doing and I think the girl has a great long career ahead of her!!! This is def her best work to date..and its one of the very few albums where I like every single song!!!The photo's in the sleeve are beautiful!!

and yes the song F.U.S.S. is about Scott Scorth...I guess they had a falling out after her last album..and he moved on to work with Paris!!

It's ok..but I must say without exaggeration..that it was 10x better than I expected.. I like still dirty and the song about old school music....I forgot the name.

Oh yeah...you mean Back In the Day ... great hiphop beat (DJ Premier did his thang on this track). Christina gave major props to all those who inspired her.

Your prayers may be answered coz word has it that she'll release "Hurt" as her next single! What I really like about Christina is that she really knows how to capture the raw emotion and essence of the songs she sings eg. Beautiful (although she does oversings sometimes) but not on this album.

I only bought this album yesterday and I haven't stopped listening to it since. There's not a single song on the album that I dislike or want to skip. Stripped is a pop masterpiece in my opinion and this isn't far behind it. This woman knows how to sing, perform, look damn good and still capture her audience with great songs. Still dirrty, mother, understand, hurt, f.u.s.s and the right man are my fav's.

My absolute favorites: "Ain't No Other Man", "Slow Down Baby", "Understand", "Candyman", and "Hurt". She's already released ANOM, but I hope she releases the rest of my favorites!!

Apparently the album is on track to sell 350k + copies in it's first week.
