Climate Science biting liberals in the ass again.

Do emissions cause warming or cooling? Surely not both.

I realize you have no interest in actually broadening your knowledge base because you're more focused on important topics like Benghazi, Ebola and now refugees, but you might want to read the cited article. The majority of scientists and even meteorologists agree (in the 90th fractile) that emissions are causing warming. Volcanic activity, because of the difference in its contents, can cause cooling. Our atmosphere is durable yet fragile and, since it's the only one we got, we should do all we can to stabilize it.

Other scientists disagree. Here is an MIT Climate Scientist and a Princeton physicist disagreeinghttp://www.climatedepot.com/2015/11/19/scientists-declare-un-climate-summit-goals-irrational-based-on-nonsense-leading-us-down-a-false-path/
Also, Dr Patrick Moore cofounder of Greenpeace describes the undoubted benefits of rising CO2.

^ Ah yes.

It doesn't take much digging to find that CFACT is a Koch sponsored organization...with more than half their funding coming from the 'Donors Trust'....

....and 'Collegians for a Constructive Tomorrow'???? Lamest name ever?????

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donors_Trust

The Charles G. Koch Foundation and the Knowledge and Progress Fund, another of the Koch family foundations, contributed $3.3 million to Donors Trust between 2007 and 2011.[17][22][23] The Knowledge and Progress Fund contributed $4.5 million to Donors Trust and Donors Capital Fund between 2006 and 2012.[24] Donors Trust and Donors Capital Fund were the only grantees of the Knowledge and Progress Fund through 2013, according to The Independent.[17] The Koch brothers, Charles and David Koch, were the top contributors to Donors Trust in 2011, according an analysis by the Columbia Journalism Review published by Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.[25] In 2010, Donors Trust received a US$2 million grant from the Donors Capital Fund.[4]

But nice try there.

Their agenda is less evil than yours. They want to preserve our freedom, you want to destroy it: totalitarian power to the liberals.

^ Give us all a fucking break.

The Koch brothers are totally intent on purchasing the US government and suppressing democracy and freedom.

Jesus. H. Christ.

At least I now have a better idea that you are also on their payroll and somehow earn a living by posting their nonsense on this board.

This is intellectually dishonest in the extreme.

There are "scientists" who believe the moon landings were faked. There are "scientists" who believe the earth is 6,000 years old. There are "scientists" who believe natural selection cannot explain the origin of species.

Denial of fact is popular with some people, even some people who have letters behind their names. That does not mean we should all ignore obvious truth, just because a few crackpots like to stir up controversy.

Republicans demand that we ignore facts acknowledged by the entire world and follow a handful of crackpots who preach a gospel that almost nobody on the planet can accept as truth. Almost nobody, that is, except Republicans in the USA.

If the consequences of such ignorance were not so extreme, we could just pat Republicans on the head, say, "There, there," and be bemused by their stupidity (or possibly by their spectacular dishonesty). But mankind is facing the most serious challenge to its survival that it has yet faced. And the Republican response is to insist that only their political party can be counted on to explain what is happening to the world, against the evidence, reason, and scholarship of the entire rest of the planet.

That is nonsense. It is the democrats who want to destroy our democracy and economic freedom, by silencing all who are not democrats and socialists. Wake up.

I have to hang on to the simple notion that all the tripe you spout is cynical and purposeful.

I will not believe that any person posting on this board is so stupid as to not be fully aware that the US has been turned into a personal and corporate oligarchy that increasingly only serve the needs of the rich.

It sounds an awful lot to me like he knows it and approves of it.

They have spent years successfully herding their already intellectually deficient flock into accepting one guy with a biology undergraduate degree making a paid signature on a corporate-funded think tank or research study as "legitimate scientific skepticism."

The right has, successfully I believe, moved its base into regarding science as a religion, where everyone has different beliefs and you can find a belief to suit any which-way, and that there is equal validity to them. The way that you see the right-wing react to news media or academia not accepting ridiculous or baseless contentions to widespread prevailing scientific consensus as legitimate as being "bias" is more of this mental morph of science into the same deep mental ruts of religion.

That is palpable nonsense. The governent and laws are clearly hostile to corporations, and increasingly so each year.75,000 pages of regulations in2014 alone. We have the highest corporate tax rate in the industrial world, and some crporations are moving out to avoid them.

This is intellectually dishonest in the extreme...

Dear, sweet, T-Rexx on immigration, taxation, corporate responsibility, racism, xenophobia, AND climate change - some have gotten so far beyond intellectual dishonesty we simply can no longer see there from here.

Liberals/marxists/socialists/communists love the global warming theory because it supports total government control of everything, especially free enterprise. But the science is still debatable. There is increasing evidence that the world is entering a long period of global cooling and the alleged green house effect may be beneficial.http://www.nationmultimedia.com/opinion/Cold-sun-rising-30272650.html

I'm sure they've told you 100 times before, but global warming does not mean that every corner of the globe will get warmer. Europe, for instance, will almost certainly get colder, Africa will get more rain in the areas where it doesn't need that and less in the areas where it does, and Asia will have to relocate its crops dramatically.

But of course you will keep dismissing everything that does not serve your purpose as a vast conspiracy led by Kenyan socialists.

Corporate taxes have dropped precipitously for a century.

You're not entitled to your own facts.

The corporate tax rate in 1915 was 1%. The important point is that our rate is the highest.

Actually it isn't. It's nearly 10% lower than it was in 1940.

So, to quote you, "you lie." Except this time it's actually true.

What's amazing though is, even with these "horribly high taxes", corporations are making larger profits than at virtually any other point in history.

By highest, i was repeating my point in 161 that ours is the highest rate in the industrial world. Some are making large profits, many are not.

Taxation does not exist to make unprofitable businesses profitable. Isn't that the socialist redistribution you abhor?

Where's that "market forces" argument you'd bring up as the fix-all to everything else?

Oh Ben is a total "Free Market" hypocrite. Markets are only really "free" for him, when they are wildly skewed in favor of white men.
