Since 1 US Gallon of petrol is 3.785 liters, that's $8.1272277, so rounding up,

There are forecourts which are selling it much dearer, almost £1.20, so this is basically on the low end.

United Kingdom Pounds
1 GBP = 1.95379 USD
United States Dollars
1 USD = 0.511825 GBP

Recently saw £1.35 for a litre in UK=
1 litre = 3.785 411 784 gallons
so 1.35 x 3.785 411 784 = £5.11 so at current conversion rate

£5.11 = $9.95

Alexandria, Virginia (adjacent to Washington, DC): Filled up Wedensday, price was $4.12 9/10 per gallon. Got 7.1 gallons and total was $29.50. "Yuck!"

get ready to see prices of everything else increase. Some of them will go up a lot. Most of my manufactures have told me that they are working on price increases becuase the cost of everything is going up becuase of the fuel costs.

Purchases of luxury autos were down nearly 100,000 units, or 14 percent, through May 31, compared with an 8.4 percent drop in all U.S. sales.

``This gas panic has extended even to luxury buyers who are deciding they'd rather step down to a Ford with all the amenities rather than get a new Mercedes,'' said David Healy, an equity analyst with Burnham Securities Inc.
Gas prices have probably played a role, but I think the decline in MEW (mortgage equity withdrawal) is a more important factor in the decline in luxury car sales.

Especially corn. The corn up north in the U.S had floods so most of it is unusable. And in Texas, there wasn't enough rain, so a lot of the corn didn't either grow right, or didn't grow at all.

Which means, ethanol is going up in price, so is meat, soda, corn itself, and whatever else has corn in it.

Ours jumped up to $4.19 a gallon today!
This is going to put us in a depression soon! Not a recession but a depression! I told my boss today we do not need a cost of living raise we need a cost of gas raise!

I just paid $4.48/gallon. I don't like to wait for my tank to be empty to fill it and I think gas prices will keep going up so I might as well keep it full before it goes up more. I spoke to one of my friends about gas prices today and he told me that most of the gas stations on the West side of Los Angeles are already over $5/gallon. A few years ago, I knew that prices would go way up but I did not realize that it would happen so quickly.

Just paid $4.30 gal for premium here in Sarasota, FL.

I briefly considered parking my car for the weekend and just biking it everywhere, but it's almost 100 humid degrees and I love my cushy air conditioned car....

I think for the first time today I really felt like a prisoner to oil...

It's not a feeling I recommend. :(

The diesel price is £1.24ish a gallon I think. I don't care. I'll never need to fill up.
