  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Current gas price in your area?

Current gas price in Germany...

you still get it cheap over there - average prices here are 8,50 $/ gallon at the moment and they are down by 10% compared to 2 weeks ago...

Time to resurrect this thread.

Saw gas at $2.49 this morning. That's still high for crude being at a 17 month low.
What is the gas price in your area? Are the prices in the UK and Europe declining like they are here?

.

We're actually getting under three dollars now in Portland. I think the lowest I've seen recently is $2.90.

We are being ripped off at $2.91

It was 1.99 in a local suburb---they were reporting it on the radio when I was coming home from work---wonder why so sudden a drop---the economy tanking??? Or the huge election next week???

Or the huge election next week???

We have a winner. Who wants to bet that gas prices shoot back up to $4 in the weeks after the election if Obama wins?

Republicans = Big Oil

I'm not complaining now, though. I just paid $2.27 for gas last night.

My prediction on August 4, in Post #181 in this thread:

It was 377.9 here the last time I noticed.

My prediction: prices in the 2.60's before the election. Then, going back up, very possibly never to see the mid-2's again.

I should have bought some derivatives or something!!!!!!!!

Though the price has crashed for reasons entirely different than I was thinking at the time...

it was 246.9 today as I went out and about doing errands in Macomb today...and the national average is indeed in the 2.60's.

Its dropped by about 10% since it's highest here near me. It's now about 97.9 pence. I can't be bothered to translate that into US$'s coz the exchanges have gone haywire ...

Google actually makes this super easy. You can just type in the following to the search engine,

0.979 GBP per liter in USD per gallon

and it spits out:

0.979 (British pounds per liter) = 5.77233809 U.S. dollars per US gallon

Pretty cool, huh?
