Does anyone even consider WHY there are more liberal leaning networks????
Just wondering???
To keep the propaganda down to a mimimum?

Tim Russert had a pollster on recently who verified to Russert that 80% of network reporters were Democrats. Russert did not dispute those figures. Hmmm....maybe now you understand why we might be just a little concerned about the way the news is presented.

I'll help you out! Here's the link to Meet the Press with Tim Russert. I wasn't able to find anything.

all news sources BUT fox are biased...lol
and they are the only ones that arent
what a laugh
you DO realize how nutty and out in space that sounds, right?
Well, until you can provide a link to a transcript, or to the "pollster" who made the claims it's just hearsay.
What I can prove is that Republicans trust FOX NEWS over any other source:

As where the Democrats give the same Credibility rating for the News Hour with Jim Lehrer and NPR as the Republicans give to FOX News.
You can read the entire report on Media Credibility conducted by The Pew Charitable Trusts here:
Section 5: Media Credibility.
Now another poster in this forum presented something awhile back in another thread in regard to "media bias and journalism," but I couldn't find that information. Even that, as I recall, refutes the alledged pollster's claim on Tim Russert's Meet the Press.
So a link would be great!I'll help you out! Here's the link to Meet the Press with Tim Russert. I wasn't able to find anything.
there has never been a media outlet intentionally constructed to portray a liberal slant.. the republicans will hem and haw and insist that their opinion is the truth, but it really is just their opinion
if the news doesnt represent their agenda then it is biased in their opinion, and targeted by spinmeisters and prpaganda machines
fox was intentionally structured to pander to a part of the market based on rush limbaughs success on the radio
that qualifies it as an entertainment channel, not a news source
its like getting your news from the i love lucy show
I'm not sure how you learned to argue, but just because you make a concession doesn't mean others have to give into your unfounded assertion. Have any substantial proof to the myth?
NW007 ... may I ask a personal question?
Do you personally think it's ok for a media that wants to pass as informative to spread lies ?
Actually another question... do you really not know the difference between bias and flat out lies??
Thanks, chance, you rock too. Regardless, I've argued against the liberal media bias myth on here and I'm standing behind my previous argument because it went unrefuted. I know that there are liberal voices out there, but the network itself is 'extreme liberal'? Burden of proof is on the accuser, chance---help him if you want. I'll wait.
aside from a few personal insults from the republicans and fox supporters, they seem to be unable to acnowledge the absolute reality of the evidence presented.
this is disconcerting because it implies that an entire belief system requires one to intentionally ignore facts just to maintain it.
THAT is SAD
most all threads that bring up fox are made by conservatives and republicans
that is just a fact
the source is tainted and it will always be
this wont change if you like the message
once the well is poisoned there is no going back to it
period
So by your argument ; the same can be said of MSNBC, NYT, CBS, NBC, etc , etc. So where does that leave us. It explains why most news sources are taken by a grain of salt by Americans. News journalism just doesn't have the same level of trust and respect it use to.
_________________________________________________________________I have told you several times today that I know that Fox has a bias toward the right. so that is not a debatable issue okay. The problem is that you seem to think that there has to be this burden of evidence that you will accept that various news sources have a liberal bias. the problem is that I am not sure that liberals can see the bias in these news sources because those sources hold the same beliefs and views as you do; therefore you don't or aren't willing to see the bias. Look at the viewship rankings that Centexfarmer posted earlier tonight. It has the two extremes on top and bottom, and every other source ranked in between. If you can't see the ranking and correlations to beliefs, I don't think I can begin to convince you otherwise.i hadnt noticed your posts possessing a bipartisan flavor, NW
are you saying that democrats should be held to a higher standard than you just because they disagree with you?
actually you have asserted that there is a liberal bias in the n=mainstream media
i asked for you to prove that
you couldnt
there has been proof supplied here that shows that fox intentionally misleads people by presenting false evidence as fact
you refuse to comment on these two realities
