Desperate Housewives - Season Five

According to producers.."Edie will be killed off in a car crash at the end of the season." Yeah right. Since when do producers tell exactly when and how an actor/actress is being written out of a show. It was not on this weekend, so I am pretty sure that Edie's character will be shot either accidentally--or on purpose--by her husband during the camping trip.

If the show ever needs to trim the budget, I think that everyone on that show is expendable EXCEPT for Bree and Lynette. Those to are the best characters and actresses on Desperate Housewives.

I love the dynamic in the Gaby and Tom relationship. I've liked them together ever since she kissed him as a joke and Lynette got pissed at her. I'd like to see more of them. They are great together. All the other relationships are pretty dull right about now.

I like the duo, too. An interesting pair for sure. They need to jump in the sack. Wonder if Tom still wear black bikini briefs?? Might be the best sex on the street since the gardner hit the sheets.........

I thought about that episode too! They should've used that in the "Previously on DH..." clip reel. I seem to recall Carlos and Lynette sharing a moment there too. In fact, Carlos considered having an affair with Lynette as of way of paying Gabi back for John.

Tom does make a good house husband though. He's almost as gay as Lee!! Hmm, maybe...

Yea I do think they are trying to play up a Carlos/Lynette chemistry. But I cant get into it because I still think physically they look a little weird together.

I like Tom the house husband too. It's so funny how he gets into the gossip and things.
 
Very weak season finale. Very weak.

The writing really failed this season.
 
Yeah this season wasn't that great. Tom annoys the shit out of me every episode. Don't like the Bree/Orson storyline, getting old.

And for the finale, Mike getting married but we don't know who...if it anyone besides Susan or Katherine, I think I will stop watching the show because of how stupid some things are.
 
Yeah, the finale was bad. I think Neal McDonough is creepy and a good actor, but the writing on that storyline was dreadful. I feel like the writers never knew where it was going...and it dragged on needlessly all season. They even brought on Lily Tomlin and didn't appear to know what to do with her. Eventually, she disappeared only to return for the finale in another poorly written part.

And the story around Carlos' niece, Anna, and her manipulation of Carlos/Gabby....wasn't that done a few season's ago with Tom's spiteful young daughter manipulating Tom/Lynette?

The writing has become dreadful on this show...and I no evidence how moving ahead in time for the '08-'09 season has helped the story development
 
I loved this show in the beginning. Season two was odd. Season three good. Season four was odd. Season five was beginning to become unwatchable. The ending sucked - all season building up Dave Williams and the whole thing comes to a culmination in 3 minutes. I still don't get where the Lily Tomlin character is coming from or going to. So - it begs the question - who is going to be the mystery character for season 6?
 
^^Entertainment Weekly's website said today that ABC categorically denied this is happening.
 
ok so the ending was alright but the wedding..I understand it's supposed to be a cliffhanger...but it wasn't done that great.

IF it's Susan...why are none of her friends her bridesmaids? and why would she invite her ex-husband who she can't stand to her wedding?

IF it's Katherine...why is Susan's ex-husband at her wedding?
