Doctor Who Season 3

/\ I think what some folks were saying was that Dalek Khan becomes the dalek in the "Dalek" episode at some future point. Not that the dalek from "dalek" becomes Khan. I suppose it's possible, but I rather think it wont because that dalek didn't know what was going on, but then it had gone crazy...we think right? If that dalek isn't dalek Khan, then it's reasonable to assume that other daleks feel through cracks in time as a result of the time war. so there could be daleks scattered all over the freaking place and at any time.

hum...now i'm saying dalek too much.

I'm not sure I agree with the love interest angle because the Doctor has always been rather ambiguous and asexual in that respect. It's only with DT and to a much lesser extent Ecclestone that we've seen him forming any deep emotional attachments to his companions. I'm sure one of you will prove me wrong there but I was a kid when I first watched Who and those sort of things didn't occur to me back then! But he is human after all (so to speak) so I guess the story telling has to move with the times. I also think it's a bit naff to give the Dalek's a temporal timeshift ability but it would take a brave man to kill them off completely. Mind you, we're down to one Dalek now so it may yet happen...

yeah i'm not particularly happy with the whole love angle either. And it's getting brought up again with the new gal.

True (about the dalek khan thing) but the Dalek in the episode called Dalek fell through time and space (just as the Dalek Emperor said at the end of Bad Wolf) and plus this Dalek sat in a hole and screamed for three days before anybody could get near it. Plus, it doesn't have the white markings of the cult under it's eye piece! :) oh god...now I got Dalek fever! EXTERMINATE!!!!! ;)

As for the love interest thing....god let it drop. The guy is 945 years old. I don't think he needs somebody. However, if they wanted to show him making out with Frank from the Dalek in Manhattan episode.....who am I to stand in there way! :D

yeah...I liked frank and his Texas accent.....god okay! :P :)

...um what did you mean the white marks under the eye piece? i think those white marks are on all daleks now. i looked back at the other episodes on the new series and I see it on there...unless i'm mistaking what white markings you mean.

and god yes i agree with you the love thing needs to end. geezs...

whoops...sorry let me clarify The white markings under the eye piece (yes all daleks have them) But the dalek in Dalek white markings are different then those of the cult of sarkos. It must be a brand or something......kindof like a squad marking so that they know which daleks belong with which group. The doctor knew they were the legendary cult of Sarkos when he first saw them. So I'm just assuming that what the white markings are for...a means to identify each other.

ah ok i understand. yeah i had noticed some of the markings were different, but i hadn't noticed the ones on the cult of skaro daleks were all the same. ;) i agree i think it's likely they are a means of identification.

Btw have any of you seen the Doctor Who cartoon?

David Tennant is a guest on the new series of Parkinson this Saturday at 10.40 p.m.

The dalek in 'Dalek' was all battered and beaten and weak before rose touched him, if you remember, and he also didn't know he was the only one left, so I don't think they are the same one.
I'm sure Daleks will be back and there will be more than one of them. They can always find some way around it.

There will be no Doctor Who on Saturday 12th May thanks to the bloody Eurovision Song Contest!

Really good episode tonight. The sfx for Lazarus were very good. A great ending as well.

However the next episode looks even better and "the sexy one" is back! So it's even more frustrating that we've got to wait a fortnight to see it. Btw according to the UK press John Simm has been cast as the Master and I noticed him in the trailer for the next episode.

As I mentioned previously David Tennant was on Parkinson tonight and was asked about the Time Lord having a son. In response David just mentioned the fact that the original Doctor travelled with his grand-daughter. The revelation from The Face Of Boe was also brought up and David said there is no other Time Lord but there's more to it than that and we haven't seen the end of The Face Of Boe's story.

Well shucks. I actually didn't like this episode.

I can't really point to any one thing, I just thought it was a bland story. !oops! There was a lot of name dropping (i.e., Mr. Saxon). I think this story was the most blatant use of the name so far. So even I got it.

actully i believe that the "next time on Doctor who" part was for the rest of the series some of the things said in each of the min scenes wouldn't make sence anyway. Captain Jack Harkness (Which isn't his real name) doesn't return to the series until "Utopia" which is the last one before the series' two part finale, i think... according to TV.com anyway.

in one of the episodes, i think it was in the first series (doctor who 2005 i never watched it before then well only in the 90s) he said to rose that he didn't know if he had any family, which means that his granddaughter may still be alive, that would make a good storyline.

lazarus experiment was good, but i don't like the guy who played him though, i bet Tish, Martha's sister, will go in the TARDIS at one point it's kinda obvious, and her mom is always gonna hate him.

p.s Daleks will always return.

Well tonight's was another great episode (but then I haven't really been disappointed in any). Quite a tense climax although the "villain" wasn't exactly scary (bloke in a metal helmet). Great to see William Ash again (he's sexy) and Michelle Collins back on tv.

Next week's looks really good!

 the only thing that bothered me in this episode is how he saved martha. I'll try not to spoil it, but ...please the controls are on the OUTSIDE of the ship?

other than that, i think it was a pretty good action episode. you guys do know there is another...dare i say it...forum...where they talk about TV and doctor who is a hot one overthere. TONS of Who fans.

Just look at all the Who threads: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=115

i try to vote in each week's official thread. ;)

I'm not that into Doctor Who. I tried joining in the conversation at Famous Males but felt I was being ignored so decided to try this Forum instead and people actually respond to what I say (mind you it probably helps that I see the show before any Americans download it).

/\ yes that's true. you see it first. and the rest of us are nerds. ;)

i agree though the bloke in the helmet really didn't scare me. i forgot to check the fear factor to see what the kids though though.

I did think the scene where the Doctor was "posessed" might have been quite scary for kids.
