Does anyone read books?

I read every single day! i mostly like young adult horror! ive been a huge fan of rl stine, christopher pike, caroline b cooney and diane hoh since i was a teenager. i also read james patterson and dean koontz. i really like the alex cross novles. i also am a fan of stephanie meyer, although i tried to read host but i could just not get into it. i love twilight! the books i really want to read next are the true blood books and vampire diaries books. ive read a few stephen king but i am not a big fan, he rambles too much! one of the best books i read by him is cell! that book was awesome! i love to read! its funny when i was in the first grade i got held back cuz i had a hard time reading but in the fourth grade i discovered the babysitters club, thanks to that i have been a reader ever since!

You really should read the true blood books they are great. And have descriptive sex scenes in 2 or 3. Ha ha. The book are a lot better than the show. Don't get me wrong I love true blood. But some characters are differant like eg Tara. Doesn't show up until the second book and is White. And an unexpected character dies in the end of the first book. I'm glad they kept her or him or it in the programme

The Tin Star - J. L. Langley It's a gay cowboy romance, but much to my surprise it's pretty good.

I just finished Probation - Tom Mendicino. The quote on the front cover says: "achingly honest". I really liked this one.

I adore that book. Zusak is a great author (especially by young adult standards) and I'll read anything he writes. Just today I finished a novel called Hey Nostradamus! It is a really beautifully written novel (seriously, I almost cried a few times during it) and it's easy to read. I definitely recommend it.

On a more general note I love reading, I basically inhale books, and I try to read every day. I wish more people in the world would open a book as opposed to turning on the TV...

Any science fiction recommendations? I haven't read many books in the last few years. The only reading I do is from magazines like "Discover", "Scientific American", "Astronomy", "The Advocate" or "Out" and "Popular Science."

I am particularly fond of space fantasy.

I just finished Blood of the Fold by Terry Goodkind and I think I'm either going to read Michael Chrichton's State of Fear or The book of the dead by Douglas Preston & Lincoln child.

I am Reading the sookie stackhouse series just finished dead and gone in 2 and a half days. Now I'm just starting dead in the family and touch of dead by charlaine Harris. Touch of dead is short stories.

I've finished the first one and just started "Living Dead in Dallas". I thought "Dead Until Dark" was okay, but it never really felt suspenseful and didn't draw me in the way other mystery books have.

Right now I'm reading:

I just finished up A Maze of Death which was a great story. Each of the novels in this collection deals with religion but in a science fiction setting.

I used to read for leisure a lot more... Currently reading Jasper Fforde's "Shades of Grey" but finding it's not coming anywhere near the charm and wit of his "Thursday Next" and "Nursery Crime" series, both of which are highly recommended.

Other than Comics? Yeah, I like reading, I just don't what good series there are to read. I was thinking about taking a look at City of Glass/Bones (which ever one comes first). That or a good detective/suspense or vampire series that's not entirely cheesy lol.

Speaking of the detective books... anyone know the series where the detectives have super powers to solve murders and other cases?

I'm almost done reading The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. I'm not a big fan of fiction books but I read a lot of great reviews so I decided to give it a try. So far the book has been really good.

I finally picked up A Confederacy of Dunces, which I've been meaning to read for years now.

The lesson is I probably shouldn't read comedies while I'm sick. I guess I'm supposed to be amused by Ignatius Reilly, but I'm more annoyed than anything.

IMO one the best books ever written. Literally read it maybe 30 times. I read it over and over. It's just that brilliant, that genius.

Along with INVISIBLE MONSTERS by Chuck Palaniuk and LOST SOULS by Poppy Z. Brite (the two best gay novels ever written as far as I'm concerned) it's one of my top three favorites of all time. I re-read each of them a couple times a year I'd say.

I try to read a few books at once. I usually do an autobiography, a classic novel and/or some random chick-lit/gay/anthology of short stories.

Of course, my reading time is dictated by my class schedule and study times, so I read more during the summer.
