She denied ever saying the homophobic comments that were attributed to her. I remember her weepy press conference where she denied it.

She has also said that she loves all people regardless of race, sexual orientation, etc, and has done AIDS fundraising. What more can she do?

Anyway, I don't have this new CD and the local shops didn't carry it so I will have to order it.

I'm going to see her in concert in August, for the first time, and I'm excited about that.

Her legacy among homosexuals will always be a mixed one. She said some pretty dismissive/hateful things in the past, but she seemed to have worked hard at rehabilitating that image later on. She has a pretty strong body of work to delve into. I enjoy playing this song for younger people and asking them to guess what year it came out. Nearly everyone guesses early or mid-90s. (Answer: 1977.)

Oh wow!! When I was a kid my aunt used to make me dance with her to Donna Summer songs. So sad.
