Is anyone else sick to death of Ellen?

I USED to like her program but ever since the Oprah thing she spends more time whoring herself than anything else and I'm ready to puke.

I don't think it's necessary to say the American Idol thing is a very sick joke......but I'll say it anyway....... ](*,)](*,)](*,) ....... #-o

Nope.

I really like Ellen. I do enjoy her personality and sense of humor, but rarely watch her show...so maybe that's why I'm not sick of her nor notice her "whoring herself out." :rolleyes:

I assume she's going to be the nice, sappy, complimentary, encouraging, won'tsayanythingnegative AI judge...you know...PaulerII ;)

I cant stand her either. The Idol thing just makes no sense. What qualifies her to be a judge on idol. She has no music expertise at all. Just because she dances like a dick in the beginning of her show? plus she's fake nice. my friends who worked for her said he's actually quite unpleasant.

But then again I love Rosie so what do i know?

I like her but I feel she will kill American Idol (not that I watch it anyways). I think thats half the reason Simon is leaving anyways.

That's the problem: I love her stand-up, but her sense of humor on the show is COMPLETELY different. Her calling is stand-up, not sitcoms or daytime TV.




I'm actually excited to see her on Idol. It's the only reason I'll probably watch it.

I STILL don't understand what she's on the show for. Is she there to judge whether or not the singer will be liked by the "middle-aged lesbian comedian" audience? That just sounds like a disaster to me.



I think her show is steadily dropping in ratings though, which might be why she's "whoring" herself out.

She is just fine with me. She judged on So You Think You Can Dance and did a fine job without being crass, so I think she will bring some fresh air to stale Idol.

Ellen danced her way into my Heart a long time ago..I like her show even though I don't watch it daily...Her "formula" works so they shouldnt make any big changes.....

My Dream role for Ellen to show her acting-chops would be a Dramatic turn as "Princess Diana" in a MAJOR film production....No one would see it coming....I think she resembles the Princess and I think she'd leave us speechless with a Dramatic role like that...

Comedians make the BEST Dramatic actors...

I adored the sitcom's self-deprecative humor, but when Ellen became Oprah I started puking and I haven't stopped since.

I really value what she has done with her career and I think she's at an amazing place in her life with your career and private life. That being said, I have a hard time watching her show. I think that my taste in comedy has changed a lot over the years and she's very corny. I think she appeals to mainstream.....morning show type audiences.
