Ahh i was not aware of that i apologize. I have to say it's quite sad cause that was some of their best stuff *sigh* - i will still treasure those song none the less. Eitherway evanescence is still awesome. Another question howcome you say still only 2, what about 'anywhere but home'

well, evanescence is in a 3 CD contract and if ABH was counted as a CD then TOD would be their last cd, which isn't true.

abh only came out to tide the fans over because we were waiting so long for TOD.

I don't see why Amy seems to dislike Origin so much, it's such a great album *shrug*

@Midnight- Ben never sang in Evanescence's songs, the male singer in the Origin songs is David Hodges (apart from Bruce Fitzhugh on Lies)

I really like the SS video, but there's so much happening at once that I'll have to watch it many more times before I soak it all in. I think Amy mentioned somewhere that the vid is based on the movie "The Cell".

I love how the video just flows with the song....i think Amy said in an interview that the video was more about the performance of the song than anything else....

Haha, exactly, TOD's all about her breaking free, being able to do what she wants and finally standing up for herself and working out problems. Like Amy said, Fallen was more like "I have a problem, that sucks" when TOD is "This is what's wrong, and this is how I'll fix it". I do love Ev. as a band, but I must admit that TOD is mostly Amy's album.

Seen them last Saturday at Family Values.

Good show, but they had to start a few hours late because of production problems. So, Ev only did like 10 songs

I've seen them twice, once on tour, and at Download this year. The tour gig was better, at Download even though she was pitch perfect, she sounded bored, and her refusal to do 'my Immortal' cause its "too depressing" and then play "lithium" and all the other really depressing tracks nearly sparked a riot.

i love them. i saw evanescence live earlier this year and got a chance to talk to the whole band after the show. i think amy is genuinely a nice person and just gets painted out to be a bitch because she's supposedly "playing the victim."

also, amy doesn't cancel shows when she's sick because she doesn't want to disappoint fans and stillgives it her all.



even though shes sick and sounds terrible (although she would have good reason to cancel - they've been touring for almost a year and shes singing some VERY hard song this tour).. she still puts on a show and interacts with the fans:



same show, sounds a lotttt better. even though she hates that song, she still performed it for the fans.


anyway, i think they rock and you should get a chance to see them before nov because they're gonna be on hiatus for like 2-3 years after that.

someone made a video out of a tv episode and set it to the song "Hello" on youtube. I was just dumbstruck by how powerful the music was and bought "Fallen" the next day, and I've been checking out their other stuff on youtube in the meantime. Love the video for "Call Me when You're Sober"...who is the guy in that video? He reminds me of Brad Pitt dyed brunette to play Louis in Interview.

I'm a fan. Not really big enough to go hunting around for all their music or anything, but I'm a fan none the less.

I prefer the slower ballads where Amy really gets to put her voice to good use, but I can't really think of a song I don't like.
