Glee! [merged]

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

I stopped watching regularly just before the end of season one.

It's just too sad to watch it now.

maybe it's sad but it is his legacy.

and I understand his struggles before he died. It was 3 am when I got the call. I had hoped it was a joke, but it wasn't.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

I will be crying like a baby tonight.

rip my friend

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

I haven't before, because it's so unappealing to me - don't see why a cast member dying would put me in the seat.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

I hope Finn's death isnt in a car accident. Thats too easy a way to kill him off. Quinn was in a car accident (but survived).

I think the episode will be done right and given the dignity that Corey Montieth deserves.

Gsdx,
I just started watching Scandal because Ive heard so much about it. Its never too late to start watching Glee.

I started watching Glee after seeing this scene.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

Yeah. I was going to watch it, but I realized I would pretty much rather watch anything else.

Sad story that he died, but that's not enough for me to watch that show.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

I just noticed that they already selling the itunes songs of this.

so sad all around and I hoped better from the producers.

Proceeds from the songs will be donated to a canadian charity in honor of Cory...who was canadian (in case people ask)

I saw the episode and it was beautifully done. It made me cry but for different reasons. Brought back memories of my best friend who died in march.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

I'll watch it tonight when it airs in Australia. I've not missed an episode of Glee - despite last season being as miserable as shit - and I won't miss this one.

I read a couple of reviews on Facebook about it. Sounds like it's going to be a seriously intense hour of TV for fans of the show.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

Watched it, and thought it was very well done. How he died wasn't brought up, and didnt matter. Alot of tear jerker moments, the biggest being Mr Shoo balling his eyes out at the end.

One question........where was Quinn?

Dianna Agron cheers herself up with trip to the hair salon and take-out after being 'excluded' from Glee tribute episode
By DEBBIE EMERY

It is never easy being told you are not liked, especially in front of the world, so Dianna Agron did what any girl would - she got her hair done.
The 27-year-old actress, who played Cory Monteith’s girlfriend on Glee for four seasons, was excluded from the tribute episode for the late star that airs on Thursday night due to 'intense dislike' for her, it was revealed this week.
Whether hurt by the rejection or just needing a touch-up, Agron went to a hair salon in Los Angeles on Wednesday night and left looking refreshed and ready for a night in with a take-out.

With her freshly-styled hair shining sleekly and her flawless complexion, Dianna was as primly dressed as cheerleader Quinn Fabray, who she portrayed on the Fox show.
Wearing a striped jumper, black blazer and with a large black handbag, she carried her brown bag of food in front of her.

The actress was dropped from the musical cast and does not appear in the current fifth season. Most recently she was said to have been left out of the heartfelt episode dedicated to Cory due to the wishes of both a current cast member and one of the show’s creators, according to RadarOnline.com.
The absence of Agron’s character Quinn in the series’ tributary episode has already drawn suspicion as she was integral to Monteith’s legacy on the show.

RadarOnline reported that a ‘high level source’ at Fox has revealed that Monteith’s real-life girlfriend Lea Michele and series co-creator Ryan Murphy ‘intensely dislike Dianna and have both worked to marginalise her as much as possible.’

While there is reportedly no love lost between Agron and her former co-stars, she is getting plenty of affection from her beau, Nick Mathers, and they seemed more interested in embracing one another than watching polo at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in Los Angeles on Saturday.

With Mather's arms firmly around her waist and Agron's wrapped around his neck, the couple appeared to be waltzing across the field at the famous polo grounds.

The couple began dating in August, but already they seem to be getting serious, with Mathers reportedly 'telling all of his friends' about her, according to Us Weekly.

'It's pretty new, but it's serious,' a source told the magazine. Nick is amazing. He's a really super sweet, lovely guy.'
While her time on Glee is well and truly over, Agron is currently starring in The Family alongside Robert de Niro, Tommy Lee Jones and Michelle Pfeiffer, and was recently cast in the upcoming film, Pretenders.

Glee's Monteith tribute episode, The Quarterback, airs on Thursday, October 10 at 9 p.m. on Fox.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

I didn't understand the focus on Santana. Gutsy of Lea Michelle to sing about her real life boyfriend / future husband. I don't know if I could have done that. It would have made more sense if Rachel took the jacket and the show ended with her crying into the jacket, not Mr. Shue. Or they should have ended on Finn's photo on the plaque.

No mention of how he died. Hmm

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

Ryan Murphy was quoted as saying the episode wasn't about how Finn died but how he lived, hence why they didn't go into details as to how Finn died.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

The opening was good (Seasons of Love)
Like it or not, people will ask how Finn died (just as people do in life)

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

Not at all. I do feel that it is unfortunate that he has passed on, and that dedication made by Jane Lynch was sweet and heartfelt. But I will not watch as I just don't follow the series.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

I would rather watch Big Brother than this.

I just saw this and thanks for pointing it out. Proceeds will be going to project limelight. Nice.

Re: Are you going watch Glee Tonight?

Thanks for the info on Quinn. I wonder what thats all about? Interesting.

I will admit I actually watched last night's episode and I came very close to crying but ever since season 3, the "studio" has auto-tuned the voices to the point where all the emotion is in the lip syncing. It's a travesty to watch Rachel ball her eyes out on screen but her singing not have any waver. It feels far too hollow to bring me over that threshold to tears. Outside of the shitty plot writing, I think I hit the crux why so many feel turned off from the show now.

The episode was much better than I was expecting. Given that it's Glee I didn't really have high hopes but it was quite a nice tribute episode.

It wasn't without its flaws though and, as has already been mentioned, the auto-tuning done in the studio is a huge problem they need to sort out. I did notice when Rachel was crying, and even during Santana's performance in parts, the emotion they show on screen isn't coming through in the voice because they want the vocals to be perfect. Some moments felt out of place and should maybe have been left out, like Puck's storyline in general. They didn't focus enough on it so it just seemed like a child throwing a tantrum rather than someone grieving over their best friend. Or Tina's moment about wearing black was so two years ago. It felt wrong.

I liked that Sue stayed in character and was impressed they found a way to do that. I also liked that they didn't bring Rachel in until half way through, I didn't want it becoming a Rachel centred episode and I think they got around that well.

The main question I found myself asking, and only because I'm a huge fan of her, is why wasn't Dianna Agron there? I haven't read anything that said she wasn't going to appear for any particular reason but likewise I did expect her to turn up considering the amount of on screen time that Dianna had with Cory.
