warlow's sudden 180 psycho act seemed laziness on the writing of the series
they should have just banished him into another realm hence his effect on other vampires would be gone like how billith couldnt feel him despite being his progenitor.
great cute actor, great character and possible storyline wasted this season.
in the finale, they should have thrown in nudity from jason and alcide to make this season snoozefest at least forgivable.
the whole season felt like fangless. its like watching heroes but in bon temps
The writing has been very lazy and uneven for the past few seasons.
*They should have kept and involved Rutger Hauer's character rather than just literally 'toss' him off. He was the BEST character the series has introduced in a while and he could have continued to bring forth much tension between Sookie and Warlow, making the audience continue to question Warlow's intentions with her.
*I agree that Warlow's 180 in the season finale was a disaster. I began to warm up to him and then all of a sudden (literally) we get slapped in the face with a new villain that gets killed off 10 minutes later. Disappointing.
*I loved the story arc of episode 9 with the vamps escaping from human captivity. But the parallel storyline of Terry's funeral was not only boring but the most bizarre use of two storylines in one episode that I've ever seen in any TV series.
*By killing Warlow the writers wasted a great opportunity for next season..... Vampires being able to survive in the day!!! Wouldn't that have brought great new levels of depth to the humans vs. vampire storyline (basically, humans can never escape them no matter what)? Also, hybrid ferries/vamps could have added a great new level of tension between the two species.... but alas.... the writers quickly disposed of this great potential. *sigh*
This season ended with a few high notes:
*Keeping Sarah alive and hopefully bringing her back. Her character was great and I would love to see what happens to her.
*Hopefully disposing of the tired werewolf vs. shifter storyline that I hated and thought was boring.
*Killing Eric. Should he come back I hope they don't wimp out and maybe introduce a new method bringing vamps back from their own true death (thus making us question what 'true death' really is?)
*Tara biting her mom. Also, Jessica approaching the ferry she tried to kill. Maybe there can be a new love/hate relationship between them.
*Sookie maintaining her hate for Bill. He should get a new love interest next season and try to win back Sookie's love through jealousy ( a great twist would be for Bill's new love interest to be the new villain).
I hope the next season goes back to the roots of season 1. A more simpler, united plot. Perhaps a new serial killer is targeting ferries in town while the Hep V vampires strike sending everyone of all species on edge? Would be great to have an exciting new mystery and fantasy show that the first three seasons were!
