"High school pastor" says gays can "change" in OC

These hypocrites DO NOT speak for God. They are no more than monster who hide behind their book that they pick and choose their verses from. Anyone who truly understands God "Am only saying God because not everyone believes in Jehovah" are caring and compassionate individuals.

For a detailed account of the "translation." by the six companies of translators, and the concerns resulting in the "final" King James version, see:

Adam Nicolson, God's Secretaries - (The Making of the King James Bible), HarperCollins, 2003 (243 pp. with additional resources),

I have not re-read it recently but this discussion brings it to my reading chair.

I am convinced after watching this, that this is nothing more than a troll vid. I am not convinced it's real as even the two Gay guys that are talking appear to be over-acting.

Nicolson is a good researcher. I haven't read this one, but it's been on my list -- maybe it's time.

UPDATE

Okay guys, so I half expected this, but apparently the people at "Compass Bible Church," where Bobby Blakey preaches, saw the 2 comments criticizing them on Patch, the local community blog.

Now, tonight all a sudden, there were 29 enthusiastic reviews praising this church. It's sickening. I think they probably told their congregation to create Patch accounts and praise the church & mention being "saved" and the "Bible" as much as possible.

I don't ask too many favors from you guys, but can you guys PLEASE create an account on Patch (it's free & takes no more than 2 minutes), and post a (negative) review of this church? Here is the link to the page --

Thanks!

Where'd the original two reviews go???

You still didn't answer rareboy's question. Not that I am surprised, but in this case it's very relevant.

Just a follow-up here.

Apparently Patch is just a right wing screamfest. Not only has Blakey taken down all the comments on his wall, the Patch page has now been filled with glowing comments of praise for the Compass Bible Church.

And the two negative reviews have been wiped away.

Well done right wing christo-fascists.

But Jayqueer still hasn't answered the question...

Is he/she Gay_In_DB?

I note that this person has the same focus on Chick-Fil-A, but identifies as a non-republican.

I would actually caution against creating an account on Patch. If it can delete any negative reviews, then I would advise people not to share any of their information with this organization.

When I have read some of the other threads on Patch, it is clear that it is full of crazy religious white republican housewives who have nothing to do all day long except shop, get their pubes waxed for hubby and to think up ways to keep immigrants from getting close to their gated community, (excepting the illegals who are doing their gardening).

Guys -- please help. I need advice from other gay guys about this. Please don't mock me, or make rude comments about this. ... So I contacted him, and immediately he began degrading me online and calling me all kinds of names ("fag", "homo", "queer", "slave", etc) There was no nudity involved, but he also showed me more of his pics shirtless & flexing (he is really muscular),

I have a hymen........a "gay hymen"..........it's psychological. ...I'm saving my curryhole virginity for a special man.........I want my first time to be with a man I care deeply about.

am not concerned with "compromising any influence" with Diamond Bar Republicans because quite honestly, an openly gay man would have never had any influence with most of you people to begin with. I am not interested in currying favors or begging for respect from a group of people who think I am an "abomination" & wish to encode their religious bigotry against gays into law.

With all of the recent hullabaloo with Tea Party goddess Michele Bachmann and her husband's taxpayer-supported clinic that tries to turn gay people straight (not to mention her deplorable public comments on homosexuality, and her support of a "Christian" minister who thinks gays should be killed)............Republicans can take their Bible-thumping "family values" and "defense of traditional marriage" and shove it...............I won't be voting for a Republican anytime soon.

Family members (especially parents & grandparents) like to be able to talk about their adult children, and their accomplishments. For Middle America, being a porn star is associated with shame. Heck, even in liberal places (outside of West Hollywood or San Fran), being a porn star can be associated with shame. If it wasn’t, why do almost all porn stars (straight & gay) take on an alias for their porn work?

While other parents can talk proudly that their son is in the military, their daughter is in law school, or their son is working for a charity non-profit — for example, what will porn star Jayden Grey’s parents say? — “My son works as an adult entertainer & is a prostitute for wealthy gay men — My son recently won the Hookies award!”

Gentlemen, you have all been trolled. This one has at last been caught (thanks for pointing it out, rareboy). The greatest troll of them all: Here is a specimen who creates an entirely different persona for the pure entertainment of aggravating and baiting community members to feed a constant need for attention. Interestingly, this troll has created opposite personalities to feed into different types of demographics as in the case of Patch and JUB. In retrospect, this pretty much violates several clauses in the Code of Conduct, and I would very much like to motion a permanent ban of this disgusting individual who lacks any kind of self-esteem or respect towards others.

Do I have second?

I certainly can't say that Gay_In_DB is trolling any site......but I'm puzzled by anyone asking others to create an account on one blog site to leave critical comments if they haven't done this as well.....and if the OP on this thread is Gay_In_DB, then it leaves me utterly bewildered as to why anyone would even bother to present as such a complex character on this site.

This was one of the comments by Gay_In_DB on Patch that caught my attention.

Ken Howard, it's people like you who are "bullying" Chick-fil-A. Gay far-left liberals have been screaming about this since January 2011, but it hasn't been hurting Chick-fil-A's bottom line at all. In fact, Chick-fil-A is rapidly expanding in Southern California (they are opening in Northridge soon), and EVERYWHERE they have opened in SoCal, they have been doing amazingly well.

Why? It's because of their product & customer service, NOT because of their stance on gay issues.

Instead of hating on Chick-fil-A, why not engage the company in a productive conversation, and encourage Chick-fil-A to make a donation to a pro-gay group? Since Chick-fil-A is very Christian-oriented, perhaps they might be willing to make a small donation to a pro-gay Christian group, like the "Gay Christian Network", for example (http://www.gaychristian.net/)

Did you at least approach Chick-fil-A with such a compromise before staging this boycott?

Oddly familiar?

At the same time, if I'm in a forum of gay liberals, I am not afraid to voice my support of some conservative ideas or values or Republican candidates, even if it's just to act as a counterbalance against the "conservative bashing" that usually goes on here.

Which is why you will never be taken seriously...

Because there is no substance behind the crap you spew. In order to be a counter-balance the things you bring to the plate have to have some weight to them. But viewpoints based on popularity and bigotry and hatred are as empty as you feel inside.

You've got nothing.

UPDATE

Okay you guys, it appears that the members from Compass Bible Church are going through Patch and asking the site to delete the comments they don't like (from the gay people).

Feel free to e-mail Julianna Crisalli, the editor of the site, to let her know how you feel about the Compass Bible Church & the deletion of pro-gay comments.

Nice try pretending that you didn't read the other posts.

Corny, respectfully, for my own privacy, I will neither confirm nor deny the allegations made by others in the other posts.

It's no secret that a lot of guys on this site don't like me. I can tell from above that at least one guy is even campaigning to get me banned.

But I strongly feel that I'm doing the right thing here in this case by shedding light on this anti-gay church.

I hope that, despite any differences we may have, we can come together on this issue.

To anyone who looked at the site:

Does it look like they could be gaining ad revenue from traffic or anything like that?
I can't help but find this persistent call to action suspicious.
