I Got Lung Cancer

Oh, baby! I'm so sorry you are down today -- but you've had some good news -- that is what counts. You know, go ahead and cry. Release it. Crying is for today -- tomorrow, it is for laughing.

I know it was good news really. I'm just so sad. And it really isn't like me. I'm usually such a positive person operafan.

I can't seem to stop crying.

I love tea thank you so much. I needed that.

Alan,

Cry all you want to...thats just salt water and potassium mostly.

Laugh all you can...its endorphins and thats good.

Know that people love and care for and about you....thats belonging.

Love and care for them back...thats what life is about

Worry about what you can control...thats practical.

Let the rest be handled by those that have the experience....thats real.

I'm not preaching buddy....I'm in total empathy and on your band wagon.

Go ahead and cry....sometimes we all need to release pent up emotions and then begin anew!

The news sounds encouraging and you'll continue in my thoughts and prayers!

I'm glad to hear your treatment is going well. (!) I hope your consultant is right and you'll be through it in a year.

Real men can cry!! I wouldn't trust one that didn't !

Roll with the good news -- "Pay it forward" it's the only way to go -

There are lots of "sick" people walking around - and healthy ones getting hit by a truck -- so ..........

I wish you nothing but the best.. your illness now will change others -- in ways you will not know - just as it has changed you.

It is good news! But it's also ok to cry as others have said. Take each day as it comes and we will keep you in our thoughts. Stay positive (although i know some days are better than others ;) ).

group hug!

Crying is therapeutic.

The main thing is, the news sounds very promising. Eye on the prize!

((((many hugs to you....))))

One of the cruelest things in this world is that bad things happen to good people....

I wish for you strength. I wish for you love.

But, I suspect you already have those things.

Thanks everyone!

Got my crying out of the way !

Feeling much more positive today. Sometimes, for just a little while I forget just how lucky I've been. It could have gone much, much worse.

I'm on the right road methinks! :D

Love all you guys. I'm glad you're all here...|

This reminds us not to take out health for granted, but we always do until we become ill. I had an online friend who died earlier this year from cancer in his early 40's and it's just tragic.

There are many things we want to do in life and usually finances and time get in the way, all in all, it's better than illness.

"Crying is how you get the sadness out."

Cry all you want, but keep kicking ass. :)
