My bosses dog's don't like Hispanics, but we don't think it's racist. Our theory is, in their culture, they very rarely have indoor pets. Everyone else that works there (white) have pets (dog's, cats,...). We think they identify with us more because they can smell our pets on us, where the Hispanics are void of animal smells.

why would you want to go to a barber shop in newark though? :confused: i'm black and i hate going there which is why i don't go down there unless i have to. it's just depressing. :( nothing but absolute hopelessness. the sad part about it is that newark used to be five times worse like a decade ago. the city has changed for the better SOMEWHAT but the mentality of the residents and reputation of the city hasn't

I worked in Newark at the time... got to work early one day and thought to myself, "I need a haircut and have some time to kill, let's try that barber shop down the block."

I'd like to walk to 711 around midnight with my dog and the story wasn't a good news for me.
And it wasn't a good news for my reason to stay here either. I came here with refugee status- for me, security is the most important. If America becoming like a developing country- having their crime case unresolved then it's not safe to live here anymore.
I hope the police could catch the bad guy otherwise this drive by shooting will be laughing stock for criminals and as you know...

crazy people are everywhere and so are guns. curbing gun violence has to be a proactive effort, not a reactive one. catching folks is NOT going to stop guns from falling into the wrong hands. it's the mentality associated with the need for one to have a gun.
 
my mom is ready to annoy me over some bullshit that i could care less about. i don't give a fuck if i look good or bad in a photo. i'm asking about the quality and here she is ready to go about "you don't look good in the photo" as if i give a fuck about that shit. damn, i get annoyed @ how my mom is ready to talk about people's appearance ready to call them ugly, beautiful or insult their appearance. when we're out on the street sometimes, she'll see someone and go like "damn, she looks so black and ugly". i'm like... "really, mom". that appearance, superficiality talk gets on my fucking nerves.

Hoarded Ducks See Water For The First Time.

These ducks rescued in a hoarding case had never swam in the wet stuff before, so when they were led to their first pond, all didn't go quite as planned.

god I hate this fucking guy.

he can't seem to wrap his head around the fact that I'm not his supervisor (and more, that he shouldn't even need a supervisor in the first place after 2 years on the job). I've barely got enough hours in the day to do my own work, much less answer his questions all day and double check every single client he works on.
