"We don't give a fuuuuuuck" -- My favorite part followed by the chorus in "Do What U Want." Great promo single with this one, and I can't stop playing it.
 
Venus might be even worst than BTW. So I guess Applause is the only "official" album single that I like. Oh well its time for lunch and some tea ;)

It's crazy how female artists can't seem to break 500k during the 1st week (excluding Taylor Swift, and Adele [her next album will smash it's first week]) despite being the topic of pop-culture conversations, actively promoting all over, and being on a slew of magazine covers. While some male artists sell in the 600-700k easily without all the media blitz. ARTPOP as of now is projected to sell 375k, good numbers but nothing really great to brag about. "Do What U Want" is the only song I'm enjoying from her upcoming release.
 
What did Born This Way do in its first week? And how much of it was through the $0.99 Amazon deal? I know those numbers are floating around somewhere in this thread...
 
I think someone said 600k of her sales were through Amazon or something...it was a huge portion, anyway. It's worth wondering about the consistency of male artists to maintain those sales, however...a lot of them probably taper off immediately after their debut, no?

Venus > Do What U Want > Applause for me...I just like the odd arrangement for Venus. And the ABBA/Bowie aspect.
 
Why not? It's not like you won't hear all the songs anyway, and it's not illegal to listen.

My only issue with the album is, it's going to be exhausting for radio. All of the tracks (except two) are intense dance records. Swine is wicked neat, but can anyone honestly see it sitting atop the Hot 100 for 4+ weeks? Kinda think the album version of Sexxx Dreams is boring, too...
 
I found it but it's low quality. I heard a little bit of G.U.Y, Jewels and Drugs, and Swine. G.U.Y is pretty good. I hope it's chosen as the next single.
 
Halfway through and so far I think this is better than Born This Way. Really don't like Jewels n' Drugs, though.
 
Lol. Well, of course someone would say that they work at the record label that is putting out the album. Either way in general the album has a real "oomph" to it.
 
I'm liking ARTPOP, it plays out like a real followup to The Fame/Fame Monster with the experimentation of Born This Way but a lot more fun and less boring. My faves: "G.U.Y.:, "Sexxx Dreams," "Donatella," "Fashion!, and "Mary Jane Holland."
