I think that the "alt reality" is just what happens after the on-island stuff happens. I don't think they caused the "alt reality", that creates a paradox and the writers are smarter than that.

That's what i was thinking too.. is it possible that we actually just saw how LOST will end ?

When you think about it, the hydrogene bomb clearly was "the incident" it didnt work... Back in 2007 things are pretty shitty, Flocke is strating a fight, nothing can stop him because jacob's dead and they realize that what screw everything up was THEM... the incident, caused the hatch, that caused the planed to crash etc...
They already tried to change the past but it didnt work so the only thing is to submerge the island underwater so that they wont crash... dunno how they will do it, but they do it... and BOUM here we are with the flash sideways, the plane never crashes and everyone's going on with their lives..;

In this alt reality the island is underwater, so there's no way they can go back there...

I think that may be part of the point. Why in this reality would they ever need to go to the island? From this perspective, they don't even know it ever existed. What it likely will answer is how their lives changed by avoiding the plane crash. I'm sure cheating time has a high price, for better or for worse.

What worked? I suppose we are obviously supposed to believe that Jack's plan did work after all. After Juliet died, maybe it was just that one reality which died but she lived on in the other reality. In which case she was able to tell that to Miles post mortem. Maybe that is where the story will go, that in order for everyone to get back to the other reality, they will have to die in the other. Maybe they will have to choose which reality to live in. Maybe they all will have to make a sacrfice. Maybe I don't have any clue as to what the hell I am talking about.

Come to think of it, this is beginning to seem like a cheap way out for the producers and writers not to have to explain everything. Kind of like if they had made everything in past seasons just a dream. But instead of saying "it was all just a dream", they might be saying "it was all just an alternative reality" without any real closure. I hope that this is not the case, I think that will piss off many fans.

Here's an idea for the ending of the show: Some nation decides to use the island as a nuclear bomb test site and drops one on everybody there. That would be the only decent episode.

I hear that in this P-X timeline, that their lives/histories are going to be slightly different. Like for instance, Hurly has nothing but good luck, and Kate is on the run for killing someone,...and it's NOT her father.
There is no reason why their past BEFORE the island should be any different. Because they were not influenced, before the planeride, BY the island.....

Surely she is still alive in the other reality. Which is why she told Sawyer (through Miles) that "it worked" in the island reality. I would certainly think we will see Juliet again, although it may not be until much later (like the series finale).

How are the producers going to connect the two realities though. In P-X, the island has sunk (due to the bomb), so they cannot go back there. I wonder if each of the P-X versions will start having dreams that slowly bring back their memories and connections to each other. That would be cool.

so, i guess everyone got their Claire fix. i think Christian (and now her too) are working for the Monster guy.

Ethan at the hospital... i think this is the first clue that in this time line the island has been "sunk" for a very long time and Ethan/Dharma/Others were never there either.

all the Losties who were in the temple were ones that Jacob visited off island (minus Sun and Locke) i think this is significant. i think these people are also somehow linked to the "lists" that were always referenced by Ben and the Others.

What does Flocke mean? Fake Locke? So we now have Flaire and I guess Fayid is coming once the darkness takes Sayid?

I hope they don't kill off Sayid. I was so hurt when he died in LA X. Thankfully, it was all for nothing. I know Sayid isn't the new Jacob, but it would've been awesome to see Sayid and Flocke fight each other. We know Sayid is bad ass.

I screamed when I saw Ethan and I'll probably pass out if Mr. Eko or Michael show up somehow.

Ethan.......THAT'S what doesn't make sense to me. We have to assume that the deviation in the timeline starts after Jack and the crew, set off the Bomb. The detonation sinks the island at that point.

Any of the islands original inhabitants were still brought to(young Ben) or born on(Ethan) or lived on(the Others) the island. The timeline is still the same before that point. Ethan was born on the island shortly before the bomb was set off. So, he shouldn't be in the present world in P-X. It would have made more sense for the doctor to be Juliette, since babies were her specialty anyway, and she would have never been brought to the island in the first place.

^ yeah, but even in the "current" time-line before they set off the bomb they evacuated all the women and children, including Ethan.

i think in the "flash sideways" none of the characters we know (Losties or Ben's Others) had been to the island at all.

But (in response to your second statement)....yes, all those people WERE on the island before the bomb. The timeline changed with the detonation of the bomb. Rememeber the scene at the very beginning of this seasons episode. The island is shown underwater, complete with broken down houses and buildings, as well as the "giant stone foot". So, yes, Dahrma WAS there in both timelines.

i love the actress and I always loved the character but after 6 season they still show us Kate running and escaping, and then crying... i mean COME ON !!!

SO claire's back, thats a good thing, Christian worked for the MIB and now sayid is going to be sick too..

Claire's acting all rousseau and that "infection" could explain what happend to the french team.

It's kinda fun to see that they brought back things from previous seaso (Ethan with the needles, the whale with aaron, Aldo, Rousseau's traps, the pier scene...)

Did u noticed that on the ultrasound pic for Aaron the date is
OCTOBER 22nd ?????? is it a mistake ? or is there any chance they didnt land september 22nd, which means that problly everything's "seems" the same in this reality but it is not at all

Can you please clue the rest of us in why you keep on calling it "P-X" world? In all the Lost material I have read online for this new season, I have never seen anyone say this, not even the producers. Just curious.
