Mariah kept getting guest artists to help her in making hits. Madonna did almost all solo, except for that hit with Britney. Madonna rules.

Mariah is biracial her mother is a white woman and her father is a black man. I have seen pics of her father he is definitely a black man. Now I will admit Mariah has had some plastic surgery done to make herself look more Eurocentric. She's had a nose job, and she straightens her hair. Other then that though she sees herself as a biracial woman. She definitely does not consider herself white she's said that all the time. and she definitely identifies more with her African American roots. Also, Mariah's taste in music changed because in the beginning Tommy Motolla was calling the shots. However, as Mariah divorced the old fart her own voice and musical interests emerged. And unlike Madonna, Mariah actually has talent she can sing. And Madonna is just an old sea hag that uses studio technology to make her sound good.

Madonna? An Icon? For what, being a whore? She's never done anything worthy of being labeled an "icon" besides doing stupid shit for attention. She has some okay songs, but I don't get how you can compare two completely different people. Madonna, is a performer. Mariah, is a singer. Two COMPLETELY different things, two different artistic directions, and completely different musical influences and tastes. And if Mariah is considered fat, I'd hate to see what you fugly people look like. Seriously now. Don't be mad because Madonna isn't relevant anymore and she has no more shockwhore value to her. If she'd actually make a good song for once, she might be good again. There's a reason America doesn't like her, and it definitely isn't because we have bad taste. We just don't recognize bogus talent anymore. Why do you think JLo sticks to reality shows and spanish music?

And as for MC's "plastic surgery," the only thing shes had done was have her breasts lifted. No implants, no nose jobs, nothing. I guess if she was anorexic and old and frail, she'd look like Madonna & Nicole Richie, too.

I was interested in looking, but I couldn’t find the answer to that one, but I bet Madonna’s singles were downloaded more times worldwide...maybe someone knows for certain?

Granted that Mariah has 17 #1 songs tying her with Elvis Presley and both she and Elvis have three less #1’s than The Beatles (who currently hold the record as having the most #1 songs in U.S. music history), but being up there in the record books with Elvis and the Beatles doesn’t make her a legend. Elvis Presley and The Beatles are legends, but Mariah isn’t and I don’t think the American media will ever declare the diva a legend even if she surpasses The Beatles’ record in the near future.

I think a lot of people here in the U.S. love her songs, but I don’t think those same people love…her. I think a lot of the straight guys love her and I think I know what they love about her, LOL, but I think most of the straight women here in the U.S. love to hate the diva. With the LGBT community, I think some people love her and some people love to hate her.

Anyway, I think Mariah Carey being up there in the record books proves to you that if you’re a really good songwriter to write so many #1 songs and a diva like she is, then you can be up there with the legends in the record books and you don’t even have to be a legend yourself! Isn’t that great?!

The latest tours of Madonna and Mariah Carey were stadium-type tours. But I think Madonna is the more popular recording artist because here in the United States, all 32 dates of Madonna’s “Confessions Tour” were sold out. In Mariah Carey’s case, only 6 out of the 25 dates of her “The Adventures of Mimi” tour here in the U.S. were sold out. And it’s been reported that Mariah’s shows in the cities of Seattle, Denver and Hershey were cancelled due to low ticket sales. Madonna didn’t have to cancel any of her U.S. shows, especially since they were all sold out.

I have a feeling that Mariah won't ever become a legend, but I think Madonna will. I believe some people in the American media have referred to Madonna as the “Queen of Pop”, but I don’t think anyone has ever said that about Mariah...I think they usually just point out that she’s a diva.

Pardon me about my JUB screen name, but I didn’t spend time to think of a name when I registered and so I just quickly nonchalantly pressed some keys without looking, but I’m thinking about contacting an administrator to change my screen name to “mainstream_music_lover” because I’ve always loved Pop and R&B and Hip-Hop music and I’ve listened to radio and read Billboard magazine since I was a kid, so I know much about what’s going on in Pop and R&B and Hip-Hop music today.

At 48, Madonna is beautiful than ever and after two pregnancies has a body of 20 years old girl.
At 36, the terrifying Mariah Scary is hideous and fat.She's as attractive as an inflatable doll.I can't imagine what she will look like when she'll be 48 years old.That talentless whore had to cancell some dates of a last tour in America and Asia due to low ticket sales.Who would be so stupid to pay to see that sow screaming for 2 hours.

Mariah Carey, Madonna Top Elvis in Pop Chart Records (Update1)

April 2 (Bloomberg) -- They've had more hits than Elvis. Mariah Carey and Madonna passed the king of rock `n' roll in the record books with new hits on this week's Billboard charts.

Carey's latest, ``Touch My Body,'' jumped to the top of Billboard's Hot 100 this week. Her 18th No. 1 single moved her past Elvis Presley into second place behind the Beatles for the most chart-toppers in the rock era. The Beatles have 20, according to Billboard.com.

Madonna broke Elvis's record for the most top 10 singles with ``4 Minutes,'' which soared to third place from 68th. The song is her 37th to reach the top 10, compared with 36 for Elvis.

``Touch My Body'' moved to first place from 15th, propelled by record-breaking first-week digital download sales of 286,000 units, Billboard.com said. Madonna's ``4 Minutes'' sold 217,000 digital downloads.

The Hot 100 measures sales and airplay.

Carey, 38, records for Island Records, a label owned by Vivendi SA 's Universal Music Group. ``Touch My Body'' is from her yet-to-be released album ``E=MC2.'' The single from Madonna, 49, will be on her next album, ``Hard Candy,'' to be released by Warner Music Group Corp.'s Warner Bros. Records. The song features singer Justin Timberlake.

Presley died in 1977 at the age of 42.

Hey, I love Madonna, amazingly enough.

I just think the new song blows and it's sad that THAT is the song that broke Elvis' record. Is it not ok to post about Madonna in a thread with "Madonna" in the title?
