Mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando Florida: Political Discussion [SPLIT]

When the police arrived they went in and confronted the gunman. When that was done the gunman got into the restroom with hostages. While the police contained the main rooms they started pulling out the injured to get them medical help. That in itself save many more people. Then all the SWAT team had to do is form a plan to get the hostages out of the restroom which they did with saving the lives of those in the restroom. I have not been prouder of our local City Police and Sheriff Deputies that risked their lives to save others.

Christ sales. There was a off duty police officer in the parking lot hired as security part time. There was a shoot out in the parking lot (#1) forcing the self loathing gay dude inside the club, and more police arrived. There was a shoot out inside the club floor (#2), the gunman retreated into the bathroom area and there was fear of explosives thus the hostage stand off for about 3 hrs. In the bathroom people were packed like sardines. While the stand off was going on he used his 9mm glock to point over the stalls and fire at the sardine piles up people. The police decided to use a armored vehicle to bust the wall in. There was another shoot out (#3) with the self loathing psycho gay dude and he didn't put down the gun and was shoot up like Swiss cheese.

Part of the problem with ID'g some of the victims shot with the assault rifle is they had no head, even if they had a ID it still takes time to make sure who is who. These bullets spinning through bodies splinter arms and blew limbs off. It of course was extremely graphic and horrible.

Wife is involved, so is Dad. His Son wasn't fucked up over seeing 2 men kissing in MIami. He had hung out and dated gay dudes since high school. This is self hate due to upbringing and religion. This is mental illness and bigotry led by religion left untreated.

Re: Florida Gay Club PULSE has been attacked with injuries, and possible hostage situation.

the difference is that secularism in the west has stopped institutional religious terror.

Except in Ireland (until fairly recently and still not completely stamped out) and Scotland when there is a football match on

Re: Florida Gay Club PULSE has been attacked with injuries, and possible hostage situation.

The killer didn't have a "military assault weapon", he had a modern sporting rifle.

A semi automatic is NOT a sporting rifle. [Text: Removed]

So you want to confiscate millions of people's hunting rifles.

We had a law like that before, and federal law enforcement concluded it accomplished absolutely nothing.

It was also before we were such a terrorist target. And if terrorists want actual military weapons, they can get them -- for example, the Mexican police lose well over a thousand guns ever year on average, and Mexican drug cartels are now reported to be selling guns to their "partners" in the U.S. This is at the same time that California reports more and more privately made guns used in all kinds of crime.

The former head of Interpol had it right: the only way to deal with incidents like this is either harden all possible targets, which would cost more than a few billions, or arm the populace.
I am curious how you will vote Kul? It seems virtually certain that Hillary would give liberals a solid majority on the USSC, and just as certain that they will start dismantling the 2d Amendment. Trump will, we assume, appoint a conservative who will preserve the Conctitution.

just as certain that they will start dismantling the 2d Amendment.

Like Obama did?

Conservatives claim this about the prospect of absolutely any Democratic administration of any kind.

Exactly how many times can the 2nd Amendment "certainly" be dismantled? Because by accusation every single Dem administration was hellbent on doing it according to you guys. Has it been excised from the law yet? Has there even been a vote to ratify doing so?

I don't know anything about Ireland, but as a patriotic American I have to say that there is nothing religious about soccer. (grin)

I have a semi-automatic .22 caliber, that is most definitely a "sporting" rifle. You have to remember that we Americans have a firearm for every occasion.

They do this to hide the fact that regulation is perfectly constitutional and can be instituted without dismantling anything - just like they ignore Saint Reagan - coming to take your guns away...

Why do I get the feeling you're online elsewhere needling Christians about Hilary forcing churches to marry gays?

^I just want a single comma removed to ensure original intent...

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

So it will read;

"A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

You missed that I was assuming Hillary would win and give the dems a solid majority on the Supreme Court, which they have not had in recent years. Yes, they will dismantle the 2d Amendment, and probably the First as well.

Because of course the Supreme court can do that.

You don't know how our process works. That seems like a rather large problem for a "lawyer."

If you need an assault style weapon to hunt, you are a piss poor hunter and should NOT be allowed to hunt.

This wasn't a hunting rifle, which (the ones I'm familiar with from earlier in my life) requires loading a new shell every time you want to shoot with it. A hunting rifle is a one-shot affair; the hunter gets only one shot. After that shot, the target, and any other possible target, scurries away in a hurry whether it's deer, pheasants, squirrels, or...

Hunting rifles have NEVER been banned, nor should they ever be.

The AR-15 is indeed a weapon of warfare.
The rifle I used for hunting held 5. It was a bolt action. Meaning that after firing, you had to manually eject the cartridge to load a new one.

Yes. Because Supreme Courts have a history of destroying Constitutional Amendments.

This really is about the stupidest thing I've read today.

Specifically, they will probably that its purpose was to facilitate militias and that reason no longer applies, so the Congress can limit gun ownership etc.
They will probably say the Congress can limit the amount of private contributions and expenditure for political election---leaving the democrat media and their sponsors to spend what they choose.
If you really want to know what the court will probably do, look at the liberal opinions the last time the issues came before the court.

Gee. Maybe what they'd be doing is actually interpreting the second amendment as it was intended.
