  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

NO BLACKS,NO ASIANS,NO INDIANS??? Grindr is the enemy of ethnic men?

I suppose it's a better idea to string someone along and waste their time trying not to be mean than it is to be up front about your preferences.

No one asked you to date every person you're not attracted to.

What I've actually said is that you should stop telling yourself and everyone else that these are just test tube snowflake individual preferences and that it has absolutely nothing to do with prejudiced beauty standards and prejudiced messaging in prejudiced societies.

Well of course some of them could have worded it better but you can't fault them for have preferences.

More blacks for me.

Gurl just how many do you need? From what I hear you've ran through the locals so many times you've started reaching out into neighboring counties.

So, what would you do about these people who are allegedly brainwashed by the beauty standards of their own society and culture?

some of the profiles there are undesirable and a no no for me.

Oh FFS it's a preference
Everyone's idea of what turns them on is different
So what if they don't like blacks or asians
I KNOW there are plenty of black and asian guys who won't go with black or asians but I bet you won't be calling THEM out

And that is the problem. These days if you express a preference the whole world screams prejudice

Anyone can look up intermarriage rates by gender among straight people and see that there's something a little bit more going on than "individual preference."

Looking at straight inter-racial relationships it always seems to me that one side is uglier than the other. This seems to me to say that the racial attraction, for whatever reason, over-rides the physical attaraction

Actually on the online world.
If you don't reply, they [STRIKE]will [/STRIKE]get the message. It is that simple.
No need to advertise "NO this, NO that "

Therefore no time wasting, and you get to know who likes you too.
Its a win win and smart.

I see a lot of people handwave this issue with "oh well, who cares. At least you know who the jerks are, win win." That's easy to say when you aren't in the group running up against a strong majority of the small minority of all gay men basically just saying right off the bat they don't want to have anything to do with you. This forum is rather fond of telling bitter single ethnic gay men "well you're single because of your ATTITUDE." True as that might be in some individual cases, the pics above are simply people being more honest than is perhaps typical about what goes on in the gay community (and in society at large) around the topic of race and dating.

The thing with these guys..and I saw them every night for years and years and had to deal with them...it isn't just about race. It is about everything with them. They pick other people apart as a rule....especially other white people. They do it for sport and they actually think they are clever. They are pretty horrible all around actually....which is why I think it is marvelous that they identify themselves immediately and upfront as the assholes that they are....

You know what is worse than them not being attracted to you? Them actually being attracted to you BARF It makes your skin crawl...

IMO...anyone who they don't want is dodging a bullet. Life is short...and who would want to spend it with someone like these guys? ...and just wait 'til they hit 40....if you want to hear a real whiner....aging gracefully is not their thing.....

As for attitude...I definitely think that attitude is everything...no matter what race or age or gender you are....and these guys have atttitudes that suck..which is why I find them all incredibly unattractive....BTW..Hi Buzzer!...nice to see you....

There's no need in reading the OP or the thread. Grindr is low class and little more than a meat market. Among such base values, it is of no matter if a guy wants beef instead of lamb.

There really isn't a straight equivalent to the gay meat market sites. The average straight male doesn't think, "I'd like to find a mate, so I guess I'll shop Craiglist,| or Grindr, or whatever. And there certainly wouldn't be a crestfallen young Asian girl who boohoos to her friends that some guy on Whore.com posted that Asians need not apply.

It's a tempest in a scumbucket, not relevant to how the vast majority of Americans view or approach interracial dating.

Nailed it.

There is no need to trumpet preferences or exclusions.

It isn't as though it is going to take up that much of anyone's time to scroll through until they see the body they actually do want to fuck 15 minutes from now.

Could anyone summarize this?
You talk too much and becomes i have no idea what are you talking about.

One thing the online world is, is simple.

Just as sellers of second-hand items post "If the listing is still up, the item is still available," then the seller yet fields endless queries of "do you still have your stereo for sale?"

Anyone listing anything online knows that people simply do not read.

People can and do post ad nauseum on the "dating sites" all sorts of warnings and negative messages, often defeating the purpose of their solicitations, and often being outright cranky. Listing race as part of those screenings is but one of the things they broadcast loudly and obnoxiously.

And I stand by my longstanding point that preferences in sex do not constitute meaningful institutional racism. The two are far apart. You can't argue that whitey was regularly fucking his slaves in 1750 and the same man, post-slavery, is oppressing them by preferring not to fuck them. You don't get to argue it both ways.

Sexual preference is sexual preference. It didn't lead to equal rights or freedom then, and it doesn't lead to "blacks need not apply" jobs today. Sex is sex.

Still don't understand. I'll ask rareboy to the rescue LOL

" ... people simply don't read" is NOT true. People read everything sometimes.

Guys, this is JUB and what I learned from JUB is that unless you are a racist you aren't allowed to criticize them.

*sigh* No one is saying that, it's more nuanced than that. White guys live in a world where racism only means a crowd of Klansman with "I hate niggers" bedazzled on their shirts dragging a black family out of their home to lynch them on their front yard on Hate Street in Gobacktoafricatown, USA.

The truth, like racial prejudice is more nuanced than that. No, preferring one race over another doesn't make you a Klansman but it's at least worth wondering why EVERYONE'S preferences coincide with a system that was in place for hundreds of years-- a mentality that you all insist somehow vanished in just a few decades in spite of skin bleaching is becoming increasingly popular and black people wearing their hair naturally is "a movement" and a rather recent one. light skin and Euro features, what a coincidence that seems to be what EVERYBODY wants!

It just seems... well, stupid that putting a "whites only" sign above a restaurant is prejudice but putting one on your dating profile is just exercising your natural desires. It defies the inarguable fact that human beings are social creatures susceptible to pressures and cultural norms, we are nowhere near as independent as we'd like to believe.
