We're really fortunate to have her as First Lady of the United States! A refreshing change from a couple of the previous republican Stepford first ladies who do nothing but gaze admiringly at their husbands, spend thousands of taxpayer dollars on china and wear dowdy pantsuits.

Tell Congress to allow prisoner transfers to US prisons. They are the ones preventing the closure.

I love how it is costing the taxpayers half a billion dollars a year to maintain an illegal prison in someone else's country.

^ Well that is the silliest leap in logic today.

The US had the opportunity to move all the detainees to a single facility where they would not be mixing with anyone, let alone Muslims....especially those scary black Muslims that have your panties in a twist.

Cuba and the USA are neighbors. They should become partners someday.
I think that Obama done a good job.
I think that people from Cuba, who live in the USA must not be angry. Some of them still hate Castro and want revenge. I think they must understand that for Cuban nation such type of partnership is important.

If only democrats won 10 years ago. The world would have been better.

Those who sought refuge in the U.S. are dying off. If I may borrow a thought: 'the torch has been passed to a new generation of Cuban-Americans." They don't have the enmity their parents have had. Normalization with Cuba will not be "if" but "when" and both countries will be better for it. Besides, Cuba has single-payer health coverage. :=D:

It would have legitimized the incarceration of dozens of prisoners on US soil instead of parking them in some other country without fair trial. Duh.

What money? Cuba has investments from all over the world, the U.S. has only got itself shut out. Or do you mean the basketsfull of tourist dollars?
