Re: Oscars 2008
I loved Birth, Cold Mountain and The Hours. She was good in Dogville but the movie was painful to watch. I've yet to see Fur. And I've heard she's good in Margot at the Wedding.
She's still one of the best actresses working today. She just needs to pick better scripts.
But I'm bothered by the fact that she feels the need to botox her face to the point where it looks like wet marble. She should also let her hair go back to its original color and ditch the ice-queen look. And give Tom Cruise shit in the press. I know people would like her more if she let him have it.
That depends on what you consider a decent movie, ravenstar.
After "The others" she gave some strong performances in films like "The Hours", "Dogville", "Cold mountain", "Birth" and "Fur: An imaginary portrait of Diane Arbus".
Maybe those weren't box office hits, but she's far from over.
