  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Officially voting for John McCain.

I def got a little heated, but it's people like him always complaining but doing absolutely NOTHING that fuck up this country. Stop fucking complaining and "not supporting american politics" and fucking fight for change. Useless waste of life IMO

there are other ways to fight for change besides electoral politics...the US did not become independent through representation in their government but through armed struggle...the civil rights movement did not begin through electoral politics but through active struggle and protest...i think we should respect a persons decision to waive their right to vote, so long as he feels he is fighting for justice through other means

I'm voting for him

Okay, fine. Just don't come crying to me when you realize that you've gotten another four years of the same bullshit this country has had to endure with that idiot Dubya in the White House.

Come on, man. Please don't generalize. I'm from/live in the South and very liberal. [-X (*8*)

I know, I was just kidding. I lived in Texas for 5 years until yesterday lol, and I was very liberal and the city I was in was very liberal :). In fact, we voted to approve gay marriage by over 60%, which even California can not seem to get.

There is a good share of liberals in the south.. Many liberal hubs too. I do not dispute that. :)

I Dont Support American Politics. So Im Not Voting for Anyone.

Lol, you are not voting for anyone because you do not support American politics. So how do you expect anything to change if you do not vote for change?

and why don't you support American politics?

Perhaps you should go back to Puerto Rico.... I am sure you are one of those people who thinks Puerto Rico should become their own country, yet they live in the USA anyways.. Hmm, wonder why they live here! Because their island does not have the economy, the educational systems, etc as this country!

Wowwww (*S*)

McCain likes boiled babies??

I prefer grilled shish-kababies myself. :clown:

oh man, that video clip that was in this thread was hilarious.
You know, we get it, dude. But for every page you've posted on lamenting abot how this thread turned out, there are least three posts talking/laughing about the video and babies and watering them. Are you upset that in poking fun at an example of MCain's stupidity in the political realm that it caused people to talk about why this is good incentive not to support him and thus his actual political flaws? Where else did you see this going? I think enough people get the video and thinks it's a riot for you to be satisfied. Good thread. No EPIC FAIL.

Ive been to Puerto Rico, several times, your talking about it as if its a 3rd World country, its actually an extremely developed beautiful country.

And Aren't You from Canada? why are you even talking??

If you have seen what the last 8 years has done to this country, then you wouldnt support american Politics, because we all know who very well will probably win next election, and thats McCain, So Nothing will Change. And i Should go back to Puerto Rico, because its definatley a better Place to live than the states.

Yeah I can't say I'm all too picky. I just love babies.

But I can never finish a whole one.

And thats why America fails idiot. Your job is to bring change into this country, not unsupport it because people elected Bush into office.

I guess you can go to another place in the world. I mean they are all pretty much loosely modeled after our system. Except for the communist ones of course. I hate when young people try to sound intelligent and "anti-government" and end up looking like complete dumbasses

I totally agree with you on that anti-establishment vibe that the youth try so desperately to give off.

I just wonder if this complete lack and total apathy in the youth is a mark of our times or is it just the way the youth have always been. If I look back into history it would seem that it's the exact opposite, that it's always been the youth who've been at the vanguard of political activism be it to the right but primarily to the left.

But at the same time, in defence of my generation.], I wonder, has history not totally idealized the youth of yesteryear, were there really no dumb fashion and celebrity obsessed kids in years gone by?

Well, think about how many in the Flower Power gen were there for the activism and how many were there for the sex, drugs, and music?

I think youth are about as active as they always were. But I was pretty disappointed to see that the big issue that brought students on my campus together in massive protests was the fact that they weren't graduating at the Big House...not war, not human rights, not environmentalism...

Youth culture in some ways is always the same. Just slap new technology and freedoms on it. I mean I am of the youth generation and I have a lukewarm sense of political activism in me, and I have met a lot of people at my school who are really big into activism.

I do think this whole "anti-government" bullshit is stupid in todays world though. Our government has sucken it's roots into the ground and is going no where. So instead of "not supporting american politics" why don't you try and change it?

Hope you guys know McCain has stated he will fight against gay rights.

Because I'm A republican?

Poor fellow. I commiserate with you for the misery you and your party have caused the world. Maybe if you examined your heart of hearts you could get over supporting men who hate our country and want to control the rest of the world. Such nasty creeps they are and astounding you can't see it. Just being a Repuglican is anathema.

Im Not anti-government, i just dont support it, i mean, am i Required to support our government?? is it an absolute necessity to Support the biggest bunch of bullshit on earth, and yes i realize i have the power to change it, but then again...i dont...i have more important things to do than go out and vote...

and i can be An activist, god just 5 months ago i stood with some people outside of an abortion clinic for 15 minutes, and they gave me a sign to hold up, i dont remember what it said, but, nontheless i was protesting something or another, now that took a lot in me, cuz it was freezing outside!

Psshhh, Anti government my ass

Yes, exacerbating the economy further by staying in Iraq is EXACTLY what the logical voter would want, I mean right?

McCain all th way! /sarcasm to the extreme

You do know there's OIL in Iraq?

I don't think we need to stay in Iraq in a military/fighting sense, but I think we need to rebuild and have a humanitarian lead in the country. Start repatriating people, getting people back to their homes, jobs, lives, families.

I'd rather have someone in office who knows what he's doing and isn't ignorant of the world than have an inexperienced-optimistic-novice running the country.

Ugh, you southern readnecks......

at least I can spell ...

what the fuck is a readneck???

grow the fuck UP......people DO have reasons for their decisions, you know....this is 2008....in all 57 + 1 states!

bottled hot water for dehydrated babies?...WTF?...who wrote that speech?
