^ Probably not. The slant and twisted spine are congenital. My back and new hip are still at odds with each other. Who knows what will happen when I don't have to sleep on my back anymore?

Star Warrior - the surgery canceled out the length problem.
Neil is just so used to listing to one side after a lifetime of being that way, that it's a bit disconcerting for him to have advanced to homo "erectus".

Sounds like your mismatched leg lengths are adding to the spine problem. Is it not possible to get orthopedically enhanced shoes to cancel out the length problem and rebalance your hips?
I would still recommend at some time in the future Neil see an orthotist to make sure his posture is as good as it should be.
.... My spine is twisted in 3 ways: laterally (my shoulders and pelvis do not line up); viewed from the side, I don't have the inward curve at the base; finally, viewed from the back, my spine has a shallow 'C' shape.
As bad as my posture has been these past few decades, not even surgery could have made it better.
OMG!!! My cat does this every day, from almost every shelf he can get to.
I must admit that when I am ill the biggest struggle is actually asking for help if I am unable to do things.
I hope his visit wasn't tortuous. Was it?I'll tell you, though... I was glad to get back home and off my feet. Now I'm worried about tomorrow. My physio guy is coming back and I'm not sure I'll be up to his torture. My physio guy just left. . . . Today was his final visit.
I'm on my own now.
Mike,
I don't think that's in Neil's cards - based on his back issues.
I was going to say after March - you can start working out for the Men's Curling Team!
