It is an open convention and others could put themselves forward. And get delegates to vote for them.
What we know though is that there are already enough committed delegates supporting her to get the nomination.
The right wing feverish wet dream of a chaotic and divisive primary selection process packed into a one month period in order to redo 2016 just isn't going to happen.
And even Bernie, the God to all the Bernie Bros of 2016 is right behind Kamala.

Precisely.
Strategically, this time around, any contenders realized that grandstanding their own ego and dividing the Democrat voters is the sure win for Trump.
It is almost like they thought this through.
They are proud of their Don&Nikki Punch&Judy show, that we can not see in the Dem field.
And a major reason why I hate that party is the recent history with presidential nominees.
If and when they decide to start doing fair primaries, then I'll be happy to revise my opinion.

I think after this November, Democrats will get back to fair primaries and stop the coronations.
Again, the 'fair primaries' thing is about the "fair show" for the masses: if they do not watch FARCE PRIMARIES, they are not "FAIR PRIMARIES".
Trump's coronation offered them the WWE sort of show they consider democratic, just like they consider WWE "fight".
And then some firmly believe that what is killing democracy and fairness in the Western world are Vance's couches.

Maybe technically. But I don't consider it a fair primary when situations such as party elite engineer things in the background to sabotage a candidate, which seems very likely to have happened in 2020. And I really have to wonder about this year. Did they engineer it so that Biden would stay in the race, until it was time to engineer a swap?
I only speculate, although others have these same sort of questions.
